Lyrics for Join Me In Death as interpreted by Fistan

Join Me In Death Lyrics
We are so young
our lives have just begun
but already we're considering
escape from this world

and we've waited for so long
for this moment to come
was so anxious to be together
together in death

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

This world is a cruel place
and we're here only to lose
so before live tears us apart let
death bless me with you

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

this live ain't worth living

Ok. So Him is nirvana fan.....

Gonewiththesin.... wat are trying to tell me? I see u think he isnt satanist. ok. i accepted that. still all that that u wrote there doesn't prove ur point. he could still be satanist. and ur name is not Ville Valo. So u cant just talk 4 him like that.

and pls, stop wasting space!

I like the song. That's why i care anyways. And i added that comment, because i hate the way everyone says "ohh, him is so cute and good looking..." u can say that about someone that's goodlooking, and that's just famous because of his looks anyways. But u should comment on the song, and the artist role in it....

well, i guess this is too high for u, so i'll leave u to ur sad life!

People people people... i come to you today as a voice of reason and I say this: Do you like the music... well you must cause you all are sitting here bickering about the man's religuos affliation... but people you have to look past what he is writing about or what the lyrics really mean or what he belives in. the point is you like the music. HIM is a band that i recently discovered and have completely fallen in love with. It does not matter what they are singing about because the music as a whole is amazing. that's all that matters to me and that's all that should matter to you.

To clarify some points:

Satanists do not worship Satan. They worship themselves. People who worship satan are called "Suburbanite Punk Christians".

If using things like "666" and cheesy evil-sounding latin song titles and inverted pentagrams make HIM devil-worshippers, then that must also hold true for half of the heavy metal bands of the 70's and 80's. Obviously, this isn't true.

If you Xians want to push your beliefs on others, or bad-mouth people you don't even know who are just trying to make a living with their music, at least get your facts straight first.

Thank you London, we love you, good night.

I had a big argument with my HIM-loving friend (who incidentally converted me. First time(s) I heard 'Right Here In My Arms' I thought HIM sucked) about this song. He was saying how beautiful and romantic the sentiment was, and I was saying, "Yeah, but if you found someone that you really loved, surely you wouldn't *want* to die anymore?" It is a bit silly, if you think about it. 'Oh, we're so in love, so let's kill ourselves'. In my experience, love (or anything near it) is enough to live for.

But I never take HIM lyrics seriously anyway. It's just great sing-a-long fun!!!

First of all, about the song... yes, it is a very good song

and now to Anni's comments..
I am a Christian and so I don't like it when an artist uses an "antiChrist" gimmick to put forward their image, for example I do not like Marilyn Manson because a majority of his songs have such content and he just seeks to offend, which I think is stupid. HIM however, any religious issues they have are very much in the background compared to the "love metal" which dominates their songs.
The Heartagram is like a Yin Yang symbol in my opinion, shows good and evil. And a quote from HIM's official website states the following about the "His Infernal Majesty" title:
Ville: "The name His Infernal Majesty was intended as a joke. But people thought, because of our name and the fact that we're from Scandinavia, that we were Satan worshippers! And that of course totally attracted the wrong crowd, so we decided to use the name HIM."

HIM obviously felt strongly that they shouldn't be seen as Satanists and therefore now use the name in a form which has no deeper meaning. Whether u choose to believe it's some sort of secret cover up to make money is ur choice, but I think they coulda made just as much with the old name, as that sort of thing is "cool" (see bands like Slipknot with their goat references and heretic anthems).

So I don't believe HIM are a satanist band, maybe atheist, but so are a lot of ppl and that can't be helped as society is for whatever reason getting less religious. So try to ignore any hints of evil that HIM may portray because mostly their songs are good and worth listening too and shudn't be spoilt by worrying about what Ville Valo thinks about Religion and life.

Paddy.

LOL anni, you make me laugh, you really do. Let me guess, your religious arnt you? probably some form of christian, im not being racist here btw, im just guessing, cos you sound like you are, by the things youve said. Now, all those things youve noticed doesnt make somone a satanist, if i were a cross am i christian? no, even if i go to church im still not a christian, its about what you believe, not the jewlrey you wear. Ok, next, satanists arnt evil, its just tradition that says they are (and religious people). and ive read both the bible and the satanic bible, believe me, there not evil, they just dont believe in god, hence there labled satanists and evil.

your blind anni, you cant see the world properly, you'll think im ignorant for saying this, but infact im acctually quite wise (trying not to sound too vain or holyer-then-thou there :/ ) whatever it is you believe has blinded you to the truth, i meet and see people like you all the time, theres nothing flawed with you, your human like everyone else, everyone needs somthing to believe in, its just that somtimes, unfortunatly, that belief blinds them from the truth of the world (which isnt always a bad thing, since the world is so messed up :/ )

my advice: stop listening to your brain and the things you were told, and start listening to your heart and the things you feel...

a lot of you guys are pretty lame, so i stopped reading half wat through.. but just because you dont like a song, doesn't mean its a flat out bad song. also someone said HIM was his infernal majesty or whatever.. this is straight off the site in Villes words..

"His Infernal Majesty was a totally different band. I think HIM derives from some death metal joke"

so whatever.. and satanists? i've read enough times that they use death as a metaphor or fo many things. I dont know about anything else.

anyways, i think Him are pretty good. This song is great.

I think people need to chill out, read my message from earlier, it answers most of the satanist things.
It's only a song guys, it's not sposed to be the most seriously taken thing, don't take the lyrics at face value. I like the music, and the singing and the words don't really mater, but I think "would you die tonight for love?" is a pretty nice lyric anyway, just talkin about whether they are willing to give it all for their relationship.

Since wenn are you a satanist if you believe in the existence of satan, and worship him? If you do that you're a Devil Worshipper. Satanists belevie in their selves, you're your own master and own boss over your own heaven and hell.

HIM are not satanists! they have no religion or beleif system. this song is beautiful, it is a Romeo and Juliet story. Ville was surprised at how this song got so popular, he thinks that it is not the best he could do. HIM uses "666" and those things and metaphors for love. (showing that love is indeed evil), their symbol the "heartagram" is a cross between a pentagram (evil) and heart (love) -2 contrasts that were meant to be together.
so dont talk about things you have no idea about "anni".
