Lyrics for Join Me In Death as interpreted by Fistan

Join Me In Death Lyrics
We are so young
our lives have just begun
but already we're considering
escape from this world

and we've waited for so long
for this moment to come
was so anxious to be together
together in death

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

This world is a cruel place
and we're here only to lose
so before live tears us apart let
death bless me with you

Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death

this live ain't worth living

Go Exiled...I agree with you dude. And as for goth/emo 11 year olds, I havent seen any around lately...I think I killed them all - I know stupid joke, anyway. I do like this song, for some reason its calming, I think its the way Ville sings in it, you can be sitting there and here the song and actually want to die, but then you realise the lyrics and you gotta snap out of it. If Im wrong please do correct me.

This is a twisted song - as are a huge amount of HIM's. It is as much condoning suicide as anything else. His Infernal Majesty...pah

This song very much resembles Romeo and Juliet with the drinking of poison in the end of the music video - Shakespeare uses poison not only in R+J but throughout many of his tragedies. And yea it's meaning is basic - kill yourself so we can be together forever. The message is romantic, dark, and very much seductive. Whether or not its satantic is, just like every single other religious controversy, is up to every individual's own interpretation and beliefs. To me it all comes down to what you got left to lose. I got roots here, I like my life, if my spouse were to die I wouldn't kill myself bur rather wait, live my life, and then see her again when I do die. But if on the other hand if I had lived my life and all that was left was pain and loneliness then yes, I would end it all. But if you're still young then there's no reason ever to off yourself. You still have so many years of untapped potential to live and make something of yourself. Time will makes things better, no matter what, in time you will heal.

It's quite simple really, the person is asking his partner if they would die with them so that they can live forever, together in death.

And Villes not a satanist. Dudes, really...

Some people are just to stupid to look behind the lyrics and see the symbols, that's all.

I had to explain how this song wasn't as "f**ked up" as one of my friends was thinking it was. The lovers wanted their love to last for all eternity. In life everything changes...in death nothing does.

Great song

Ville and the others are not satanists. If your going to make an opinion about something you think you know, you should actually KNOW first. I KNOW that he is not because I have watched about 80% of his interveiws. And in quite a few he touches on that subject. For instance, when they first started out, during one of their first concerts when him still ment his infernal majesty, fans attacked church windows. From then on they decided that is not what they are about and changed him to just plain him. To prove HIM means nothing at all, in the US up until maybe a year or 2 ago, they were forced to be called HER because of the band out of cleveland already holding the rights to the name HIM. On his site (or at least the old one from a while back) he names CHURCH as one of his favorite places to be. Music is music, dont read so much into it. The people you would never think are satainists are, ( not that i think any of you listen to this but...) 3-6 mafia are satanists. And it appears in their music videos too if you just watch. But no one would think POP CULTURE would take any part of religion at all would they? Open your eyes and shut your mouths and actually look. Your taking prapaganda for truth if you believe that villie is satanist. Thats like saying when Marylin Manson goes home he wears the make up and the cloths, no he doesnt he dresses like a cowboy kind of. Hes even been quoted saying Show buisness is just that, SHOW BUISNESS. And its true.

Shut the hell up Atomic sushi (what a weird name) I agree with AnnaBeann. They are not satanists, in one interview Ville said that if he had to choose a religion it would be Christian. In alot of his songs he mentions god. If you don't like HIM then don't listen to their songs, but they have alot of people supporting them, who love their music - LIKE ME! So how about YOU be the one that shuts the fuck up and go die!

"Take heed, my lord. In a moment I will depart from you. When the clock in the convent tower strikes two, then enter the dark tomb and snuff out the candles that are flickering in there. At that very instant the gates will shut forever and you will join me in death".

the meaning is simple. two people who dont want their love to ever change. in death there is no change. this is a really sweet song and villes voice is just beautiful... a while ago i was thinking about suicide a lot and this song would make me cry...i was a fuckin emo. but its cool now. and i still think this a fantastic song, one of the greatest songs ever.

by the way, annabean is totally right.

and atomic sushi, go fuck yourself. if you hate HIM so much why are you commenting here?

I think it's a beautiful song, really is... I just find it stupid they want to be together while they're dead instead of escaping whatever disconnects them from being with each other.

The lyrics are symbolical, as Ville has already said in various interviews. He always talks about death, which isn't the kind of death we think about. Death is something different in HIM's lyrics... It is all about experiencing extraordinary feelings and feeling not alive anymore due to those experiences

The song is definitely about Romeo and Juliet, Ville's confirmed it in some of his interviews. I love this song so dearly....but then again, I love ALL of HIM's songs. ^_^ Oh, and as for all the HIM haters that post on this song or any HIM song for that matter, quite frankly, no one gives a damn about you saying you hate HIM and they're gay, etc...if you don't like them, stop posting on their lyrics and leave space for their FANS. Go be anal somewhere else, mkay?

Anni, you must be one of the most stupid people I have EVER seen. Just because of their song titles, you can't say HIM is Satanic. It is not SATANISTS, idiot. I could actually care less if they were Satanic, because I listen to Satanic music, anyways. You are telling us to go deeper into the music, but it is quite obvious you don't, because you think they are Satanic. ANYWAYS, I think Join me In Death is not about suicide, as many people say. With HIM, "Death" does not have to mean physically dying. To them, death just means turning away from society and going to hide out with the one you love. Just escaping. So, Anni, you should not be the one calling people ignorant. And Ville is HOT. I don't care how much makeup he wears or how much he looks like a girl. Most Finns have more delicate, feminine features, anyways. Ville is GORGEOUS.
