Baby join me in death
We are so young
Our lives have just begun
That's already we are considering
Escape from this world

And we've waited for so long
For this moment to come
Was so anxious to be together
Together in death

Oh oh oh
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death
Would you die?
Baby join me in death
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death

This world is so cruel
Placing were here only to lose
So before life tears us apart, let
Death bless me with you

Oh oh oh
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death
So would you die?
Baby join me in death
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death
Join me in death

oh oh oh
This life ain't worth living.
Join me, join me, join me,
Join me, join me, join me

This life ain't worth living
Oh oh oh
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death
So would you die?
Baby join me in death
Would you die tonight for love?
Baby join me in death

Baby join me in death.

General Comment:i think that this song should be played at a funeral because if you are dead then before you are actually put in the dirt you should let your lover no that you want her to join you in death.

Song Meaning:I believe that this song has story like "Romeo and Juliet". They love each other but something(or someone) is stopping them being together.

    "We are so young
    our lives have just begun
    but already we're considering
    escape from this world"
They feel that they have their whole life ahead of them, but they see no point in living life if it can't be together so why live it?

"and we've waited for so long
    for this moment to come
was so anxious to be together
    together in death"
Obviously meaning they have wanted to be together for ages and now that the time has come they are happy.

"Won't you die tonight for love
    Baby join me in death"
He is asking her to die with him, so they can be together.

"This world is a cruel place
and we're here only to lose
so before live tears us apart let
    death bless me with you"
The world won't accept them together and is only making them depressed and angry and WANT to die. He wants death to bless him with her meaning, her dying with him would be a blessing.

    "this live ain't worth living"
As i have mentioned before in this blabbering passage life ain't worth living unless together. the way he repeats this line several times suggests how much he hates life.

so like Romeo and Juliet, they can't see point in life if not together so commit suicide.

sorry to babble, this song just has so much emotion and meaning in it. i love it so much.

if you disagree with anything i have said please contact me and share your views as i would love to hear them:)

    Thank You!

    Song Meaning:WOW
im surprised no one actually figured the song out
i read online somewhere that Ville Valo stated that the song Join Me In Death
was just his hardrock rip off song of Blue Oyster Cults 'Don't Fear The Reaper'
he said the thing is based around Romeo and Juliet, hence 'Won't you die tonight for love?'
    thats what i have read
im sure theres more to it but ya

General Comment:My boyfriend is the biggest H.I.M. fan, its quite cute.
haha! he loves me for listening to them... and i must admit, im hooked ^.^

    annnyway,
I was slightly put off by this one, but he explained to me that 'Join me in death' means, "come and fall in love with me and we will be happy no matter how horrible the world gets."

    a metaphor.

or its the song for Romeo and Juliet

and i love this song now. =]

General Comment:This is my favourite song, for many rasons.
But the most important one is that this song has saved my life...These lyrics made me realise so many things...And maybe it is a sad song, but it can also help people...it made me understand that I wasn`t the only one whoose life ain`t worth living.
This made me stronger and made me want to know Ville...so I knew him, read everything about him.I loved him so much that he became my God...Sad songs can help depressive people.
