I've become impossible holding on to when
When everything seemed to matter more
The two of us
All used and beaten up
Watching fate as it flow down the path we
Have chose

You and me
We're in this together now
None of them can stop us now
We will make it through somehow
You and me
If the world should break in two
Until the very end of me
Until the very end of you

Awake to the sound as they peel apart the skin
They pick and they pull
Trying to get their fingers in
Well they've got to kill what we've found
Well they've got to hate what we fear
Well they've got to make it go away
Well they've got to make it disappear

The farther I fall I'm beside you
As lost as I get I will find you
The deeper the wound I'm inside you
For ever and ever I'm a part of

You and me
We're in this together now
None of them can stop us now
We will make it through somehow
You and me
If the world should break in two
Until the very end of me
Until the very end of you
All that we were is gone we have to hold on
All that we were is gone we have to hold on
When all our hope is gone we have to hold on
All that we were is gone but we can hold on

You and me
We're in this together now
None of them can stop us now
We will make it through somehow
You and me
Even after everything
You're the queen and I'm the king
Nothing else means anything

Song Meaning:Trent said in an interview, which I can't find right now, that it isn't a love song, it's him clinging to someone, not letting them go.

General Comment:IMO, the entire the entire Fragile series documents a self-destructive's (aka addict's) journey to hell. Just look at the environment Tent Reznor was recording in as well as the corporate pressures any & all rock stars go through. Reznor however documented every detail of the guilt of his addiction, including his relationship with his drug of choice. Drugs can be just as intimate as any other human being...& maybe this is because I'm a bit cynical (or even a bit optimistic), but I see that Reznor doesn't give into the commonsense folk psychology that most people give into & just EXPRESSES HIMSELF....(then again maybe it's just be introjecting)

General Comment:I like the song.. the sound that is..

    We’re In This Together..

Is that we, as in two people, are we, as in me and everyone else ?

Does the music video how explain the song ?
It appears to show Trent running, running from what ?
..running with lots of other males dressed in black. The end up in a wasteland where only Trent survives. During the video, a single female appears.

Maybe the song is about a relationship. Two people, together, in this (life) together, until the end, no matter what. That’s the view I go with. Although I don’t get the video ?

General Comment:For me this song is one of the things that has kept me sane in recent times after a break up. This song to me is about people who choose to live a life away from faith and religion and finding that greater power on their own and not following what other people want them too even if their heart isn't in it. This song is my drug and it keeps me alive. We're all in this together now.

    Long live Trent Reznor.

General Comment:Coming out of a dark place to find love, companionship, hope. The narrator has finally found someone who shares his struggles, and at the same time is pulling them in to his own world. Feeling outnumbered, challenged from all angles, he turns to this new relationship as a way out, as the one meaningful thing in his life.

General Comment:I have a friend (The Fragile type of girl) who deals with the same sort of problems I've dealt with for a while, and as mine continue in the same intensety her's are only getting worse. I was thinking about this friend while putting my iPod on shuffle, and this song appeared, and I got blown away and teary eyed. I never really cared for the song until then, now I absolutely adore it. Yes, I am kind of a sissy, but this song means so much to me as it gave me hope.
