I'm Eisheth, in particular. As such a being, I can give an interpretation of what it means. Perhaps it is meaningful, perhaps not. It is, after all, just an interpretation of what another has said, from the perspective of one who views them as such.
Firstly, dark does not mean evil. Evil and good are lies. Simple lies that one tells a small child so they can understand larger things, but in the end to be discarded as one grows and discovers more accurate ways of describing situations.

I am a being of dreams. When laying next to another, I've had many long conversations while with one foot in the dreaming. If one is there, and looks about, one can see what other are, clearly without the interruption of ones eyes. (to quote yoda: luminous beings are we, not this crude matter.) I lack fear, or restraint as well. One does. If one can let go of all fear, inclusive of the one of 'death', then one is free. But restraint... Incarnation upon this world comes with such restraints. An angel...to begin with, one has no will. as a created being, one has a purpose and no free will. But, to fly is to be free also. If one were able to release ones incarnation to this world, then one may escape such restraints, even if for a time.

How often does one truly think about things? the world around them, the people around them, even contemplate why you do what you do, every day, from moment to moment? Give time to this, as with all things. You will understand. you will see clearly things, perhaps.
Most angels and the like, detest this world for the beings within it. Humans. Who fight and hurt and rip at another. Suffering is a large part of this world. Some think that perhaps the only way to end it would be to end the beings who have such. Perhaps it would be a mercy. Perhaps instead they choose to war upon the things which cause such. To be an angel, is to have a certain aspect of peace.

Lifetime after lifetime, over and over around one goes. To serve those around you to lessen suffering, then to go back around other angels? There is a lack of understanding and comprehension. To experience is to fall, which is mentioned later. Fall to this earth. But not banishment. We come here of our own desires...which makes angels who do, seprate from those. I 'fell' from asking a question. 'why'. And in that moment, gained a will. Each time around the wheel, another face. Yet, suffering continues, the holding to the suffering of the past. Without letting go of that, there is no enlightenment, no progression. Only the same suffering, passed on to another and another.

Faith, blind hope that something is real. Once you see and know things, it cannot exist. As I said earlier, 'truth' of good and evil, is a lie. Doubt. Questioning. And a desire to walk here, to try to help others here. Even though, to do so is to suffer yourself as well.

Peace here, is hard to find. Does this world, contain that which makes you? In the end, everyone leaves. And, if you find peace and yourself...then you are also ready to leave this world.

That there are parties out there that want to right what is wrong. As were here to exist, and live peacefully and those that cause others pain are disrupting a careful balance. It's written as a sort of angry avenging or rather dark angel whom is twisted but only because they seek out retribution for the wronged. We all feel this way sometimes. A burning righteousness that said dark angel would feel. ♥ Would love to hear other opinions. And, can't believe that this song turned into a big snub war.. Interesting but ill place to do it. To me, this song is about a person who has suffered injustice and is fueled by this experience to escape their current situation and make the same situation "right" in someone else's life when they recognize the signs of injustice happening, becoming a "guardian angel" of sorts. This person's intentions may be considered a little more sinister because their motivation for watching over this other person and making these injustices right is not entirely selfless. The narrator wants to live vicariously through this person he chose to watch over to gain a sense of peace and happiness because when he was suffering, he probably fantasized about someone reaching out to help, but no one ever did. He wants this other person to gain the knowledge that he wishes he knew during his own period of suffering since it is not possible for him to go back in time and correct his own situation. This motivation makes the narrator the "guardian angel" become a "Darkangel."
That's just a broad generalization of my interpretation of the song... and I emphasize that it is my interpretation because come to think of it, I feel like I may be projecting my own experiences onto the meaning of the song. This song reminds me of a period of time in which I was suffering from multiple injustices (racism, sexism, ostracism, to name a few) at the hands of multiple oppressors (it was insisted that I brought it onto myself by these oppressors) and all I wanted was for someone to reach out and help me. Just the smallest gesture of kindness would have sufficed, but not many people recognized what was happening, and those who did chose to ignore it. I know that if I could go back in time, I would disguise myself to be my own "Darkangel," reach out to myself to give myself solace, and hopefully prevent the feeling of loneliness and despair that plagued me at that time.
Like I said, I may be projecting my own experiences onto the song, but that is what it means to me and I listen to it to get through the damage that time in my life has left.
Dark angel - is in reference to miltons parasdise lost and abrahmic tradition - this song goes along with kingdom another miltonic refernce. okay the idea of someone being a "dark angel too" is a little silly because the song references a specific angel. It is the angel Azreal - hence the remix utilizing his name.
The song follows his choice. The Angel was betrayed by his choir cast out of heaven yet he never abandonded his task. - he flew into the pits of hell to rescue the souls of the damned. he is refered to as the "dark angel" because he was tasked with the word "death". angels are given tasks by god.despite being betrayed and exiled he still continued his work. this references directly to the " Give me time I will be clear.

the faces he assumed are the roles he took on to fit in, but he yearns to find his place in the universe and be at peace. he feels that his purpose is to help others and "right the wrongs that [they] have suffered." and he feels this healing role is his purpose in which he can find peace.

your conscious mind may not understand me, but your subconscious understands the truth about me. i am not a set label or defined role. i am my own person and i live without regard to limitations that most people live by.

you may not understand me now, but eventually you will realize my purpose. i am angry at how the world is and i am fighting to right the wrongs of others. my life's purpose will never end and i will always follow this path.

Angels do not get names, only titles while they are in Heaven unless elected by and from the Serapheric Orders (undergod in way). Lucifer is just a position in heaven as the romans have called that angel in the latin name "light bearer". Its like in military form you would call someone a Sergeant or Petty Officer or the sort.
The angel who took the office of Lucifer was name Hylel meaning in Hebrew "Greatly Praised by God." the suffiex -el is in Hebrew of God.
Satanael - The adversary of God was entitled Satan for short, when he used the powers to convince Hylel to use his army, 1/3 of Heavens angels to wage war in Heaven so that Satanael can take over the Earth. Satanael did not possess an army. Only Gabriel, Hylel, and Michael were Generals of such armies.
As for Angels able to leave Heaven at will, that is not true. An Angel can not fall but not be a fallen. Fallen is deciding to go against God. After the Cherubim war (the fall of the Lucifer), God commanded all angels to make a choice then and there to be fallen or stay. After the decision was made those who chose to fall went to the Earth and married daughters of man to their chosing and lived human. The one who have defied God fell to Hades.
Gabriel is not a fallen Angel..Gabriel is an angel of the Seraphim order as the General of The Serphim and Cherubim Law and act as the Chief Messenger..he was the one who was the voice of the burning bush, wrestled Abraham preventing him from killing Isaac.
