welcome to nowhere fast
nothing here ever lasts
nothing but memories
of what never was
we're nowhere, we're nowhere, we're nowhere to be
nowhere, we're nowhere, we're nowhere to see
living makes me sick
so sick i wish i'd die
down in the belly of the beast
i can't lie
you're nowhere, you're nowhere, you're nowhere to be
nowhere, you're nowhere, you're nowhere to see
there's nothing left to do
there's nothing left to feel
doesn't matter what you want, so
to make yourself feel better
you make is so you'll never
give in to your forevers
and live for always
and forever, forever, you're forever to be
forever, forever, you're forever to me

General Comment:I think this is about corgan going through a time in his life where he hates everything and feels like hes in hell, perhaps after a relationship ended. In this horrible time the girl is "nowhere to be". And I think the "your forever to me" line is reflection of when the relationship was at its best and that to him is what he wants his forever to be in that time. but...who knows?

General Comment:well he's saying that he hates himself because he's to fat. and a correction at the end it's not "and forever, forever, you're forever to be" its "forever tubby"
... ok that was me being silly... sorry

General Comment:I think it's about being disgusted with the people around you/humans in general. Maybe with a particular focus on people who always say they're bored but never seem to want to step out of the confines of their narrow lives. It's kind of evident here:
    there's nothing left to do
    there's nothing left to feel
doesn't matter what you want, so
    to make yourself feel better
you make it so you'll never
    give in to your forevers

People who never step off track because they're afraid of what might happen, even when they're unsatisfied or even flat-out miserable in their current lives.

It sounds like the narrator of the song is tired of living in a society that perpetuates its own misery by encouraging a one-size-fits-all life. Kind of a cross between feeling cramped and marginalized and disgusted at the kind of people who keep it going even though they'd rather things be different.

General Comment:This song is about Hell period. As Foo Rules stated, it has a lot to do with Vestibule.

In the divine comedy it states people in hell know the past and the future but not the present. Thus, "Memories of what never was" or rather, of what never has been.

"Living makes me sick." Come on, it's got hell written all over it.

    "Live for always." Come onnnn.
Why does everyone associate everything with love?

and forever, forever, you're forever to be
forever, forever, you're forever to me

It says 'you make it so you'll never give in to your forevers' and then goes on to say 'you're forever to me.' I'll never give in to you. I see how that can be positive, because he's not going to waste his time on something that was destroying him and he's moving on. the more i listen to this band the more i just fall in love with music. it can be interpreted in so many ways, anyone can relate to it. whether its about a girl or not, it really helped me through some difficult times. i never really listened to the lyrics of songs, not until i had my heart broken (sob story haha), you appreciate music so much more by connecting with the lyrics. best band EVER.

    General Comment:well guys..
im thinking that this song might mean self-hate like everyones been saying. To him living is hell on earth, & the last few lines that seem optimistic may be about self destruction? like alcohol or a razor, something along those lines

General Comment:it sounds like my hometown and my friends--nothing ever happens here, except whatever fantastic thing we make up about what's going to happen when we're older. though we know these things will never happen we continue to pretend they will so our lives don't seem so miserable. i don't know where billy grew up, but it could be written about the wierdo population of any rural highschool.
