Lyrics for Android as interpreted by onearmedscissor

Android Lyrics
Hey old man in woman's shoes
I wonder if he knows i think he's crazy
When he was young did he have dreams of wearing woman's shoes
And being crazy

It's makes me wonder when
I grow to be that age
Will i be walking down the street
Begging for your spare change

Or will i grow that old?
Will i still be around?
The way i carry on i'll end up six feet underground
And waste away...

When the old man was in school
Did the golden rule make him go crazy
Or did he hide away from hopes
Behind a smile and smoking dope
It's crazy

It seems so frightening
Time passes by like lightning
Before you know it your struck down
I always waste my time on
My chemical emotions
It keeps my head spinning around

Pretty obvious what this one is about, it's about growing up, and being a little scared.

I don't know about that. I think each album is equally good, and they have an album for each mood. 1,039/SOSH is for infatuated moods, Kerplunk is for when you are feeling teen angst about growing up, Dookie is about the same, but on a more mature leva, Insomniac is sorta pissed, Nimrod is all of the first 4 albums in one, and Warning is sort of a mature version of Nimrod.

The entire Kerplunk album is like a hangover from the 39 Smooth album. Almost all the songs are about having to face bitter reality. great stuff

This creepy old man (who wears women's shoes) has caused Billie Joe to think about his future...and maybe even death.

He's so wrapped up with his teenage hormones [chemical emotions], problems and crap that he's realised he's never really taken the time to look around and see how fast everything is moving.

songs about growing up, but by "chemical emotions" hes not talking about hormones "I always waste my time on
My chemical emotions
It keeps my head spinning around " then earlier "The way i carry on i'll end up six feet underground
And waste away..." i think it would be smart to say its about drug use. i.e. acid...... theres a few little "refrences" to acid on the kerplunk albums, just listen to it, you'll see them.

The most overlooked song ever. Would have been the classic it deserves to be (as it is a FUCKING AMAZING song) had they released it on Dookie. I mean, only the hardcore fans like me have Kerplunk.
