Lyrics for Wonderwall as interpreted by kevin

Wonderwall Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

Wonderwall was the name of a film and record by George Harrison. Back Beat was a film about the Beatles. "All the roads we have to walk are winding" is obviously a reference to "The Long and Winding Road" by Paul McCartney. This song is a Beatles rip-off, like almost everything Oasis has ever done.

Oasis is a wicked bad-ass band. Its just shame they all hated each other. But they arent as great as The Beatles. And I love this song. Its just too bad this dumbass at my school said, "Hey, I'm gonna lean Wonderwall. And bring my crappy Radio Shack guitar to school play it ALL THE EFFING TIME!!!" ruined it for me.

Wait "the yal hated" each other? What the fuck are you talking about? For one, drop the past-tense. They are still together, and they never hated each other. They were just brothers and fought. Wonderwall is a good song. It's not about Meg. He just said that when he was with her-- he kind of had to.

Liam thinks its about him. heh

Oasis didn't get away with thinking they're better than the beatles which they don't even come close (you cannot compare the two). Why do you think so many people don't like oasis? The beatles revolutionised music in way that will never be forgotten as long as music exists, oasis .... I'm not even going to start.

I don't know much of oasis but this song. I really like this song. But I feel that it indirectly imposes the idea that everyone should have a wonderwall, I become sad when I don't have smo. to say my "wonderwall"...

And the part that says:
"Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out...."

I always sing it wrong by purpose, as I first thought it to be:

"....the world is on your feet and the fire in your heart is out..."

Because many times I need to walk and walk and walk til the fire in my heart is out:)
Somehow this version expresses me better.

What I see the song as is this guy who has been with this girl but doesn't know what to do to have a deeper relationship. He sees this girl as a wonderwall, a metaphor for something he likes to look at continually but doesn't know where to go to see more.

This song is about that beautiful, amazing, perfect person that makes you stop and stare in wonder at everything they say and do.

This is song is the essence of a teenagers life and what he/she needs to get through it. I've gone through 3 cross-country moves, each one increasing in painfullness. In the state where I originally moved from, I know a girl. She's awsome, and also the only person who I truly know. She has a world full of hurt, both with her parents and other matters I'd rather not talk about. Everything is getting better. This song helps on those depressing days when all you want is to die. I listen to this song over and over for hours upon hours. It's what gets me through this thing called life, and I an thankfull that Oasis made this song. We both listen to it regularly and life is getting better for the both of us. I love this song and will never stop listening to it.

The hilarious thing about oasis is that they NEVER SAID THEY WERE BETTER THAN THE BEATLES
Only Liam said they were better than the beatles.
Noel:"there's better bands than Oasis in England.
The Verve are a better band than we are. And Primal Scream, Cast, Ocean Colour Scene. " Considering Noel writes almost all the songs maybe you should stop judging the band by the comments of their insane frontman.
When I hear this song I can't help but notice the way the song appears to get more negative as it goes on, first it goes "they're gonna throw it back to you" the second time its "but they'll never throw it back" and also it goes "i said maybe" as if its become less likely that the 'wonderwall' is going to be the saviour, but it ends with "and after all you're my wonderwall" which leaves the remaining "you're gonna be the one.."s with a definite question-mark over them. I still think this is about liam, from the slightly jokey lyrics and the chaotic uncertain passionate but in a way who really cares themes in the song. Based on previous comments I think 'wonderwall' also refers to their aspirations and the song's about how they need each other to succeed. But the great thing about this is that it means everything to everyone.

i think this song is sort of saying that the singer loves a person and that he's the only one who will love her after she fucked up her one chance. also liam gallager sucks, he is a rude, obnoxious bastard. his brother is ok though.

ok blah blah blah it's a good song (why do people feel the need to say that?) but what is "wonderwall?" "you're my wonderwall?" does anyone know why they chose that word or what exactly it means? because best as i can tell they just pulled that out of their asses..is it some personal reference to a specific person or something thing or anything?

unfortunately sssarah its been covered up by the huge amount of people who felt the need to say 'i love this song' (what would drive someone to do that) but its about a film reference and also a wall in their house which they stuck pictures and photos on to represent their dreams when they were kids, so i'm pretty sure my explanation is true, and it seems the most interesting and complex one so i hope it is

that 'what would drive someone to do that above' isn't sarcastic, it's really annoying how on every single song on here someone just goes on and says 'i love this song' its a waste of time and government resources

I think the good thing about oasis songs is they can mean anything and everyone can interpret then differently.
