Lyrics for Wonderwall as interpreted by kevin

Wonderwall Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

this song is amazingly old, but still amazingly great

it was mixed with Greenday's Boulevard of Broken Dreams and it sounds awesome

i've searched everywhere for it and so far i haven't found a place to download it, even any mention of it anywhere other than in a few comments in chat forums and things

This song, although written for Noels girlfriend at the time(Meg Mathews) it refers to any relationship that goes through troubled times.

This is evident in the lines, "And all the roads we have to walk are winding/and all the lights that lead us there are blinding."

Meaning there are many obstacles and tough times during relationships.

Wonderwall comes from something to do with George Harrison...I think it was a song George wrote post Beatles era that had the line "Wonderwall" in it. Noel like the way it sounded and wrote a song of his own around that word.

Glad he did...this is my all time favorite song!

this song, atleast to me, defines someone's longing and understanding for another person, this song is lyrically fit for someone in a situation where the person they want or need are in arms reach, but so far away..i could be wrong, all I know is when i hear this song, along with everyone else, i get shivers.

Maybe the guy has been in love with this girl for a long time and hes finally going to tell her and she might be the only good thing to happen to him....

The term "Wonderwall", as far as I know, first appeared in a play/movie created by none other than Beatles musician George Harrison. Which explains why they would use it. Beatles are a huge influence of Oasis.

I loved this song way before it became popular, back in `95 when What's the Story came out. I agree with the number of posts that stated the guy doesn't want to reveal his true feelings to his "wonderwall" in fear of losing that aspect of his life, which as we can see is very important to him. I can actually relate, and this song means a lot to me now, more than when i was 8 and listened for the first time.

I haven't read any of the other posts about what the lyrics mean but this song is the first song I ever really loved and couldn't get enough of when it first came out. I never really cared about the lyrics or what they meant either, the song is just really nice and when I listen to it I try really hard to feel like i felt when I first heard it when I was like 11 or something.

I heard last night on the radio that the song title is a reference to an old movie that George Harrison lended some songs to. It's about a guy who's obsessed with the girl next door, and he cuts holes in his wall to spy on her. It becomes his "Wonderwall"...

i think that "wonderwall" its about a huge wall that we need to break, it is the wall that doesnt let us do something we must do, in this case is telling our feelings towards a girl we love. that's what makes it a great song.

NUCC98- I've been reading all these posts and it was driving me mad that noone knew this. Here's a little extra........Wonderwall the movie (1968) An eccentric, lovable scientist falls in love with the girl next door - in an unusual way. Set in 1960's London (aka Swinging London), WONDERWALL tells the story of a reclusive professor who becomes obsessed with a stunning model called Penny Lane. A psychedelic fantasy steeped in voyeurism, this film features a musical score by George Harrison with musical contributions from Eric Clapton and Ravi Shankar.

Think about it. "I dont believe that anybody feels the way I do, about you now". "You are my wonderwall". "Your gonna be the one that saves me". Its talking about a condom. Its that magic wonderwall that protects him from disease. It saves him from depositing his life bringing sperm to females. He's thankful for the invention! Just a comment :)

I guess no one knows the real story behind these lyrics.... Robbie Williams and the Oasis brothers wrote this song together during one of many drug-festivals... Oasis ends up recording it and having a huge hit around the world.... No thank you, credit or whatoever to Mr. Williams.... Probably the main reason why they're not the best buddies in the world anymore...

It's about Noel's wife, Meg. So is The Girl in the Dirty Shirt.
