Lyrics for Wonderwall as interpreted by kevin

Wonderwall Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

This is my favourite song of all time. To me, this song is about someone who means everything to you.. but you can't seem to find the words or actions to express it hence "There's so many things I would like to say to you, but I don't know how" and "all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding" probably meaning, you want to tell them how much they mean to you, but something's holding you back.

also, you have a pretty hard life, and they are going to be "one that saves you" and they're like your "wonderwall"

That's what it means to me..

I first heard this song when i was about 10. it reminds me of my childhood, and now that i am older and understand the meaning more, i still love it! I love this line:/I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now/. i think it can apply in so many ways. and kat 11, maybe your ex just wanted you to know that there were things he wanted to say to you, but he didnt know how to make sense of his feelings...so he chose silence as the best way to deal. He probably wants you to know that you are special to him, but things are too hard or complicated for some reason. just a thought. but i definately love this song!!

Oh and just so you know, just because the beatles were the first to have the "sound" doesn't make them better than Oasis.

I think the beatles are better than Oasis but its not for the reasons you all have mentioned.

I hardly see how The BEatles although great, paved the way for bands such as opeth or children of bodom or any black or death metal, Some of you guys can say some stupid shit sometimes you know?
Beatles were great but lets get our heads our asses here.

This song goes in the list of the top ten sing-a-long songs of all time. I don't think I know one person who doesn't dig this song. The lyrics and music are genius.

The beatles made guitar rock acceptable, and ushered in rock and roll to stay, thats how they paved the way for opeth.

Not an oasis fan at all but this song is amazing. To me it means not being able to tell someone how much they mean to you.I especially like the lines concerning travel/the ligthts and the lives "you're gonna be the one that saves me." Ive been listenin to it all night cuz im missin my prom and it was my last day o hs......guess sometimes the wonderwall crumbles ,eh?

-ahem- ..
i have had so many different ideas on what this song actually meant, and scanning through all of your meanings and whatnot, i have arrived on my conclusion idea:
i think its about how he has a friend [who is a girl] who he thinks he might be in love with and he's scared because he can't tell her and he is scared of losing her but at the same time he kind of knows that he has to lose her but wants her to realize that no one is as great as him and she would realize her mistakes and go back to him, because well afterall, she could save him from himself. and by the way, the last person who commented before me .. there was something so pretty about 'sometimes the wonderwall crumbles' .. it was pretty. kthx.

Everyone, Oasis and The Beatles are both great bands! Leave it alone... however, i strongly recommend listening to Ryan Adams version of this song, and in fact any Ryan Adams!

Whos really bothered whos Better? not even an issue in my mind, Beatles fans think Beatles, Oasis fans think Oasis. Music Fans think music is better ;) and both those bands did music...

I know this song is about his Wife, but i interpret it in my own way.
when reading/hearing the song, i think of my older brother, who did everything before i did, knowing the wrongs and knowing the rights made him my wonderwall, as him doing alot of bad things made me not go down that road... so he was the Wall that stopped me from taking that route.

Exactly, its an honor for them even to be considered next to the largest band of all time, that means their music is really great.

This song to me is about a friend who he is to afraid to say he loves because she is who he always falls back on when times are bad. and he fears he if does tel her his feelings he'll loose his "wonder wall"
just my oppinion i dunno??
