Lyrics for Wonderwall as interpreted by kevin

Wonderwall Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

this song, atleast to me, defines someone's longing and understanding for another person, this song is lyrically fit for someone in a situation where the person they want or need are in arms reach, but so far away..i could be wrong, all I know is when i hear this song, along with everyone else, i get shivers.

This song, although written for Noels girlfriend at the time(Meg Mathews) it refers to any relationship that goes through troubled times.

This is evident in the lines, "And all the roads we have to walk are winding/and all the lights that lead us there are blinding."

Meaning there are many obstacles and tough times during relationships.

Wonderwall comes from something to do with George Harrison...I think it was a song George wrote post Beatles era that had the line "Wonderwall" in it. Noel like the way it sounded and wrote a song of his own around that word.

Glad he did...this is my all time favorite song!

this song is amazingly old, but still amazingly great

it was mixed with Greenday's Boulevard of Broken Dreams and it sounds awesome

This is the most beautiful song ever. My favorite. It's about that one perfect person who just makes you fall apart. My favorite line is "There are many things that I would like to say to you but i don't know how," because it sums up my feelings for this guy perfectly.

To me this song is all about being bittersweet. It reminds me of my ex boyfriend Adam. We had a short relationship, but this song just makes me think about how i FELT when i was with him. I loved him, but there were things that stopped me from being able to BE with him. This song just projects that perfectly. Its an amazing song, and just the way it sung makes me so emotional. all time favorite song.

This is an oldschool song, I'm surprised that this many people still comment on it, but to put my input on here, I've gotta say it's a great song, and I love all Oasis songs..

personally, i think the beatles are musical geniuses. but i'm here to discuss oasis. i think wonderwall is about a guy (or girl) talking to their ex-significant other, telling them that yeah, they effed up, but the person singing the song is telling them that since they've been so great to them that they'll forigve the person who effed up...sorry if the explanation didn't really make much sense.

to me this song is actually a poem that the singer writes to a girl that he is in love with. Such as the line, I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt -meaning that he knows she's heard "i really like you, ur beautiful" from guys but doubting that they really mean it bc they just want to get in her pants. "your going to be the one who saves me" is him refering to how he knows she can relate to him but it will be tough "...roads are winding.." and he knows that he is the only one who feels for her the way he does "i don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now"

What I meant to say at the end there is that Noel rarely holds a theme throughout an entire song. His style is more like the general idea or thought behind a song is maintained by the lyrical style and musical composition rather than the word-for-word meaning of the lyrics. It's an effective way to write, although I do admit that it makes him seem more poetic at times when in actuallity, he just couldn't find a better line to fit that particular moment. Whatever, if you're a fan of the group, the overall vibe and emotion of their music is what really shines through.

It's awesome Wonderwall is nearly a decade old and people are still talking about it!

Liam and Noel's older brother Paul wrote a book about Oasis and explained what the term "wonderwall" means. As kids, Liam and Noel shared a bedroom, and they took to writing on one of their walls. This became their outlet, a place to express their dreams and aspirations, poems to girlfriends, hopes for escaping their dull and dreary lives in Burnage. They called it their wonderwall.

So I think when Noel sat down to write this song about his then girlfriend and now ex-wife, he's affectionately proclaiming her as his love, his happiness, his hope, or basically his wonderwall.

I know, it's kinda abstract, and I know that Noel doesn't really write songs completely and consistently about one central them or idea, but I definitely feel this sentiment is in there.

great song. this was my anthem for a while. the lyrics are so true and romantic. i dont really like the actually 'people' among the group but they make great music. come on, i dont even know why they even compared themselves to the beatles. almost every single song by the beatles was amazing. with oasis there's only a few on each cd. that's just my opinion.

Ok after some vast research and asking around, I have a pretty good guess of what a wonderwall is... many of my sources seem to agree its almost like a sex slave in the sense that many people have that certain person that they can always fall back on and rely on for a good night of sex when other things in there life doesnt work out... so its prob about some groupie noel saw often when he was feeling down with the whole music industry... makes sense if you read the lyrics! hope that sheds some light on it for you all... peace

I feel that this song doesn't need to be about "romantic" love at all.. to me it is about the person that holds you up, keeps you standing.. your "wonderwall" if you will. :) That person may not even know that they are this important to you, and "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now" is a big part of that. and who knows, maybe they're gonna be the one who "saves you".....

I love Wonderwall because somehow it reminds me of this guy I trully love with all my heart. He left for Iraq, and before he left, I wanted to tell him I loved him and how I felt, I just wanted to tell him so much, and I didn't know how..... and when he says "you're gonna be the one that saves me" it's true, he saved me

i adore this song, its brilliant, but it always reminds me of sad things, coz when i was at school, they showed us the video of the funeral for leah betts (the girl who died from taking ecstasy) and they played this song as they took her coffin in. really really tragic waste of a life, and it's stuck with me to this day. brilliant song other than that tho.
