This site is about what songs mean. The first time i heard this song was 4 years ago. When i first heard it i had a good idea of what the song means. The song is about a wonderwall. A wonderwall is someone who is always there for you, who loves you, who will do anything to make sure you are happy, the person who you will never betray you, someone who will always believe you over anybody else and someone who you love and trust and the person who always puts a smile on your face whenever you think of them.

I can remember hearing this song when i was 12 years old nearly all the guys sung this song to the girls they fancied me as well lol.

Anyway the meaning behind the song i think its simply about a guy trying to tell a girl that he loves her and wants to open his feelings but it all goes wrong and all over the place.

“Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you, By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do” - This is the day to speak to the girl you like so don't mess it up.

“ Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is out, I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt” - Everyone knows what your going to do so don't disappoint and bottle it.

“And all the roads we have to walk are winding, And all the lights that lead us there are blinding” - Whenever you get the chance to talk to her alone something gets in the away and ruins the moment and the next chance is a long way away.

to me this song reminds me of one girl that ill always have a place in my heart for. the lyrics and beat of this song are amazing and the first time i heard it, i could not stop thinking about this girl. that was a while ago and to this day i still think of that girl as my wonderwall. shes perfect...

OK, I NEED to ask u something - Do you also find their music quality a bit distracting? I mean, don't get me wrong I love most of their songs, but sometimes I have to take a break, because the way they record their instruments is just annoying for ears sometimes...

Wonderwall is, I think in my top three, ALL-TIME favourite songs! Never gets boring!

To tell you guys the truth, i went out with a guy, but then we broke up. Then we became best friends and every girl problem he ever had or any problem he told me and came up with the name "wonderwall" and i was like "ur calling me a song by oasis? what does it mean anyway?" and he said "ill tell you later" but he never did. but i never asked. from hearing what everyone else thinks about it, i have no idea what to say to him. I really like him but i never told anyone, even if people said "do you like him?" i would say "no" because i think he doesnt like me and never will but now its like oh god. i think this song is about the one who you care about and the one that you need. Maybe he needs me?

im kinda in the similar situation as you justonegirl. we broke up a while ago but were still friends, just not as good as we were. i keep thinkin that it will get better but in the back of my mind i know she has moved on and she could have found someone that has more feelings for her than me. i still think of her as my wonderwall but i dont think she thinks of me as hers anymore...

I want to have a wonderwall, but it doesnt work that way does it? I thought I had found one...but whenever he hinted that he liked me, i hinted back, so then he would try to take the next step forward, and I would take two backwards. I sent mixed messages because i was scared. I had just been in a relationship with a phsyco to be and i wanted to make sure he wasnt one of them lol but now its too late

This song is about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself,notting really do to with love or anything.
i know for sure i actually ment Noel Gallagher,the man who wrote it and i asked him! for real.
he said the media stole away the meaning and turned it into a love song.

i don't really know what Oasis was trying to say about this song, but a friend of mine recently went to rehab. i've been in love with him for a long time but i won't tell him because i don't want to get involved with him because of his habits, so this song speaks volumes to me. Every single line means something.

Noel got the word Wonderwall from the title of a George Harrison album. I don\'t think it actually means anything, but it sounds kinda nice I reckon, so yeah.

As for the meaning, came accross to me the same way as what most of you have said (it doesn\'t remind me of anyone though). Noel said it isn\'t about a romance but meh.

i'm listening to it now, and i listened to this song once. i'd heard it before, but this time i heard it in a new meaning. a moment was being created, the same kind of moment that i think this song represent. only i was the girl he liked and maybe he didn't know how to tell me how he felt. later he did. but we both knew in that moment. and on top of that...together there under the stars in this sort of moment, we were listening to this song on his ipod. it's a great song, and exactly goes along with that moment in my life. thank you oasis.

I don't know about you, but wierdly this song makes me think about a breakup. "the fire in your heart is
out" the girl (assuming it because the guy that sings this song is a guy anyways) doesn't feel anything for the guy anymore.

Problem, the guy still loves the girl "I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now"

"There are many things that I would like to say to you" He just wants to talk at least to her, make it up in a way, but she just always finds an excuse not to talk to him or something. "I'm sure you've heard it all before" he begs for a chance to talk to her again

Anyways, this song could also be about a guy to shy to ask a girl out, but I prefer the darker side lol.

2 people have history and he's talking abt making things right, telling her how he truly feels about her, the boy he thought she loved, she doesnt. and hes there to pick up the pieces. He was lost and now he wants to tell her all the things he feels, she completes him. She's his wonderwall!!

According to Noel and Liams dad, the wonderwall was a wall in the garden of their council home, n the lads startin writing things on it, poems, and bits of songs and stuff. lol, he said that in one corner it said Noel Loves [The name of this gf] and underneath 'Liam is Gay' haha :)
