Lyrics for Wonderwall as interpreted by kevin

Wonderwall Lyrics
Today is gonna be the day that they're gonna throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you gotta do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
Back beat, the word is on the street that the fire in your heart is
out
I'm sure you've heard it all before but you never really had a doubt
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
Because maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding
There are many things that I would like to say to you
But I don't know how
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
And after all
You're my wonderwall
I said maybe
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me
You're gonna be the one that saves me

I kinda feel this way about my boyfriend. He has saved me from a lot of things and if it weren't for him, I don't know where I'd be. I don't really think it's a breakup song. But, that's just me. WTF is up with everyone fighting about Oasis and the Beatles?!?! LOL. That's crazy...

The song takes its name from the 1968 album Wonderwall Music by George Harrison, at the time still a member of the Beatles.[1] Harrison's album was in fact a soundtrack to the film Wonderwall, but the film has remained unknown by the general public.

It is often claimed that "Wonderwall" was written for Gallagher's then-girlfriend, Meg Mathews. Noel married Mathews, but they were divorced in 2001. Gallagher now claims that the song was not about Mathews at all, but he felt he had to go along with the rumour, saying "The meaning of that song was taken away from me by the media who jumped on it. How do you tell your missus it's not about her once she's read it is? It's a song about an imaginary friend who's gonna come and save you from yourself." [2] Initially Noel wanted to sing this song, but he gave his brother Liam Gallagher the choice, and Noel ended up singing "Don't Look Back in Anger".[3]

It makes perfect sense.
You just have to feel it.

In my life, this song strikes a chord. what does it mean? im not sure what was intended. only what it means to me. here goes:

about me, there are two oddities that come together to form a major problem (this story is important to my translation). the first is that people tend to either view me as creepifying and weird and avoid me all together. the second, most prominant amongst females, is they feel that i'm trustworthy and thus they come to me with their problems.

the second point is that in a partner, i kinda idolise the kind of woman who may not nessisarily need the "hero," but wants a guy who can be the knight-in-shining, anyway. thus, i kinda find meself wanting to be that guy to one gal, even though i don't say anything to her. I end up being the friend who she trusts, who advises her on how to deal w/ issues (including relationship ones [which i DO do my level-best to help {im not an opportunist}]) and who secretly has many things that they would like to say to her, but doesn't know how. whats the worst is when i see her with guys that make them miserable.

i feel (in my opinion) that the fellow in the song is all too familiar with said situation. He's helped this woman through so much shit in her life. he's sacrificed for her, always been there for her, never let her down, yet never revealed how he really felt. he's hoped in vain that maybe, just maybe, she'll realise all he's done for her. maybe she'll look back, and remember how he helped her. remember when he talked her down from ODing, or when he dropped everything he was doing because she was lonely, sad and needed a shoulder to cry on. maybe she'll reall that night she called him at work crying, and he had to have someone cover for him as he comforted her on the phone for 2 hours in the walk-in refrigerator. or when he cancelled a date, his first in 6 months, because she had an emergency. but, in the end, she wound up engaged to a guy whose short-tempered, abusive, possessive, controlling and paranoid. she still confides in him pretty much all of her problems, and he still helps. she even begins AND ends every conversation with "don't tell him I said anything" even though she knows they never spoke to one another but once. but in short order, she'll be moving in w/ him. and odds are good he'll never see her again.

well, maybe I got a little specific at the end, but I think my point stands. just get rid of the overly specifics, and replace the fiancee bit with "she shows no interest in him."

I've always thought of it as more as depicting the end of a relationship.
"I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now." seems like the sort of thing you would think about someone after being involved long enough to see the parts of them normally hidden from the world; the parts that aren't apparent until after infatuation has worn off.

Okay, just to clear up the Oasis / Beatles conflict, I once read an interview with Oasis in the a Rolling Stones issue and Liam said that they didn't WANT to change the world with their music, they are not sure that they really have, and that they just came to play the music.

Secondly, I love the song. All the lyrics are remarkable and the emotion Liam puts into it just makes it...it's indescibable. I love "there are many things that I would like to say to you / but I don't know how" relates to EVERYONE. I also love how the song changes when it goes back to "today was gonna be the day / but they'll never throw it back to you". Very beautiful.

Third, my friends and I also had an inside joke with this song. In latin class one day, I started singing "Wonderwall" and my friend joined in. When it got to the part that goes "I dont belive that anybody feels the way I do about you now" somebody else thought we said "about Matt now". Understand, this Matt was a really creepy perverted guy to us then. I told another one of my friends about the mix up and she started teasing me, saying that I actually liked Matt. Then she told Matt that I liked him. Not Fun. It took me forever & a lot of teasing to straighten that one out.

In conclusion, AWESOME SONG. Many memories to take home with it.

This song, in my perspective, has to do with a man loving a woman, however, she loves another man. Almost like, guy and girl are best friends and he loves her, and just when he's about to express his feelings for her, she goes, "Do you think _____ could ever love me?" and he feels crushed inside. Just my opinion.

There was a movie that came out in the late 60s called 'Wonderwall.' It was about a man who lived in an apartment block with other apartments. One day, he discovers a small hole in the wall separating his apartment from his neighbor's apartment. When he looks in, he sees her and falls in love with her. It's a really psychedelic musical of sorts, with George Harrison creating most of the soundtrack.
So, I think this song is about the person you are absolutely infatuated and enamored with.

It was so magic when we were coming back from a drama excursion, this is a bus full of kids who love to perform and don't mind making an arse of themsleves, and i had the whole back of the bus singing "Wonderwall". it was fantastic, one of the greatest songs to sing in a chorus along with Coldplay's "Fix You"

you know that the melody is almost identical to a pink floyd song, vera, which also has the similar lyric "does anybody else feel the way i do", sung to a very similar melody.
oasis have admitted that they were really influenced by pink floyd when they were young. and the title is stolen off a george harrison record, wonderwall music.
so i dont mean to piss on your parade, its a great song, but its not very original thats all.

I think if a guy told me I was his "Wonderwall" and I hadn't heard this song I'd be offended.
Isn't calling someone a wall calling them fat?

When my ex-boyfriend's best friend died, they played this at the funeral. I can't hear this song without thinking of him.

I think it's about someone that you look up to and how you would feel lost without them.

"Today was gonna be the day but they'll never throw it back to you
By now you shoulda somehow realized what you're not to do
I don't believe that anybody feels the way I do about you now
And all the roads that lead you there were winding
And all the lights that light the way are blinding"

He died in a car wreck. This part always kills me inside to hear.
