I have bled and I have given
the longest of rivers and the longest of ropes
And you're not grasping and my light is sinking on the horizon
Knee deep among your wreckage and uncertainty
with anguish my crown and heartbreak my throne
I lay claim to this day - No love, no hope
I've lost count of the second chances
I lay claim to this day - No love, no hope

General Comment:I think this is about the destruction and heartache caused by Jacob's girl with no remorse.

"I've given you the longest of rivers and the longest of rope"
The longest of rope part would be enough to hang yourself with. But she doesn't realize how destructive she's being.

"Knee deep among your wreckage and uncertainty" hints at how much Jacob has to deal with. Wreckage and uncertainty perhaps as to how she emotionally toys within and now he's sick of it.

"I've lost count of the second chances"

General Comment:Musically this song is one of their best.
I just don't dig the lyrics at all...

Feels like there is a huge chunk missing, and it dosen't really flow like most converge lyrics do.

    Could just be me....

General Comment:Pretty much the best band that's ever existed, really...this song is most definitely one of their best, I would hate to try and pinpoint one song as THE best though.

General Comment:To me this song is about an alcohalic or drug abuser of some sort that brings down everyone around him/her. Hence the name "Homewrecker", it could be about a relationship or family falling apart from drug abuse. Bannon writes the most wonderful lyrics...

General Comment:I loved this song, and Bannons lyrics arnt the sort you read along to i dont think, i think there almost like poems, or try to convay in words the feeling in the song... trying to paint emotions with two things...
Its hard to understand, but all in all I LOVE IT
