These guys kick ass, I've been listening to them since I saw them back in November with New Found Glory and Finch, which I definitely recommend seeing them if you have the chance. Good stuff, most def. I'm trying to figure out why I don't hear about Something Corporate more often though, Leaving Through the Window is an awesome cd.

it reminds me of jessica and all of my fall semester...it was crazy that she was an anchor and a 'hurricane'...plus how can you not fall in love with a girl that no matter where she is or who she is with will cry if she hears konstantine

yeah totally...this song is amazing it's quite hard to understand what does the whole song mean i think but still....it's so damn good...I think Something Corporate has the power to really make you feel emotions through their songs. This is the first song i ever did in front of a "crowd"(considering that it was for an audition at school...)i'll remember it forever..

i love this song. i never really how nice that line "you don't do it on purpose but you make me shake." was until i read it here. i also like the lyric "so pull me under your weather pattern your cold fronts and the rain don't matter because the sunburns what i needed." wow. i wish i could have a relationship like that.
it kind of pisses me off that soco makes themselves know for crappy songs like "if u c jordan" because they really have some amazing songs.
like this one and i want to save you.

I would like to start out with, Something Coporate is one of my favorite bands ever...would love to see them live, i hear good things and there absolutely superb.....but to the meaning, true it is kinda hard to understand at first, but i think we all know its not really about a Hurricane...i've thought about this alot and personally (and i could be completely off) i think that its about a fight between a loved one....he talks about how he still loves her, but doesn't want to be hurt....the hurricane is metaphorical (yeah i spelled that one wrong) to the fight...and my favorite part ("You don't do it on purpose but you make me shake") is pretty self explanitory....that part really hits hard cause it fits so well to something that happend to me with my girlfriend.......ok anyways GREAT song GREAT band....one of the best cd's out there....buy it

this song is about someone who you wanted to tell something, something that will change things between you, maybe that person wasn't aware of they were doing to you(you don't do it on purpose but you make me shake) but this song is basically saying fuck it im going to find out how she feels about me..(come on sweet catastrophe, maybe this time i can follow through feel complete stop paying dues)

this is by far my favorite sc song. i think its about expressing how he feels about someone, how that person makes him feel. the line "because a sun burns what I needed" can display that he was needing something fresh and new, like this girl, and even if it was something that hurts it did him good. great song.

This song is about everything and that is what makes it great. It is universally applicable... to everyone, in almost any situation. From the beginning to the end the entire life-cycle of a relationship is explored. Each lyric is about a different feeling or a different emotion. This has been my favorite song for almost three years now, which is crazy! It accomplished that feat, though, because the lyrics are so versatile and beautiful. It's about life and love and lust and honesty and fear and anxiety and comfort and giving up and holding on and giving in to the emotions that are more than even words.... but you can feel them, can't you?

I like how he says "So, pull me under your weather patterns... the cold fronts and the rain, don't matter," Cause its like saying... [in my opinion] I'm ready for all your moods, your depressions, your rants and your all time lows. Or ... wait -- is he saying that the cold fronts and rains 'dont matter' in the sense that they don't exist for him, cause 'a sunburns what [he] needed...' faack, now I'm confused.

Excellent tune though.

my girlfriend knows the girl this song was written about (seriously).

josh liked her but she didn't really like him, but he kept persisting and then she realized she liked him a lot but then josh had to go on tour and they couldn't really be together because of it.

Wow to begen i Love love love love SC They Are SO Hott I think I'm in love with Andrew McMahon! lol this is an awesome song..i think what he's trying to say is that he is really into this gurl and she drives him wild but he doesnt think he will be with her but still he's gunna try bc she means that much to him!!...ahh i love this song i wish it would have be written about me..sigh!

his voice initially really annoyed me, but they've grown on me.

the band is quite a bit poppy, but i can deal. it's catchy, it's groovy to listen to.

and i disagree with mymy_d, i think this song is quite simple to understand.

it's about him being in love with this girl, someone who means so much to him, for better or for worse, someone who makes him react so strongly.. and the metaphor of a hurricane is supposed to be like the power she has over him, his head-over-heelsness he has for her... yet she is confusing, like all females (and i'm a female, i'm allowed to say that), and he's trying to figure out how to make her happy, how to follow through and make her his.

yeah.
