kris fell in love with claire danes(as heard in 'my so called life') he met her at this concert or some crap and offered her a cd.. she turned him down due to the stick up her ass.. ben lee was her boy friend and now: ben lee if your reading this I want to kick u in ur ass.. that should explain it

do you wanna know how kris roe would kill him? ever heard the saying kick a person while their down?
well whenever i listen to this song i get this mental image of kris roe kicking ben lee and giggling at the same time, this is after ice cube dr dre adn snoop had bashe the fuck out of him!!
but anyway... i say:

Ben Lee is fucking 82938293289x more talented than the shitty pop punk band that is the ataris.

I had a little bit of respect for the ataris before just now reading this song for the first time.

Kris can not like him cause he has a crush on his girl, but attempting to say that he's not talented? Coming from a band that only knows 3 drum rhythms. Fuck the ataris.

Wow, it's so sad when "artists" have to demote themselves to high school bickering. This pathetic guy has a f-n CRUSH on Claire Danes, and has to write a song bashing HER boyfriend!! OMG, what a f-n LOSER!! I can't believe this verrrry crappy band has a following at all. But, then again, untalented and unimaginative lyrics/music attracts a stupid and generic audience. Which the world has plenty of. Look at Britney Spears and her fans. Same thing here.

Oh, yeah, this band is NOT punk, just so ya know, kiddies. As much as you don't want to admit it, it is 100% mainstream pop. And, "boys of summer?" Do any of the fans even know who Black Flag is? How about BEFORE the song came out. Didn't think so...

Keep those MTV checks flowing, Ataris!! Oh, and say hi to Dre and Snoop, cuz you know them so well...right??

Ben Lee by Klinger, rad band from Melbourne I think, is a far superior put down to Ben.

and the fact that he has at least 2 hate songs named after him will surely only increase that arrogance. I think he is an annoying little C&%# but he does write some beautiful songs.

I've got no idea what Ben Lee is like as a person (although 2 hate songs dedicated to him isn't saying great things), and I haven't even heard this particular song (although the Ataris are generally sorta-decent, but nothing too special), but I do know that my brother is/was a big fan of this band, but lost all respect when he saw them play. He and a good friend-girl (as opposed to girlfriend, savvy?) talked to Kris Roe after the show, and apparently he's a very nasty piece of work. I find it hard to look at music the same way when I hear that the band members (particularly if it's the singer or songwriter) are really arrogant, and I can't respect the Ataris much now. Who cares what they think of Ben Lee..
