How money polluted my mind
Dough, what our lives are lived for
Rae, just a crazy Aussie
Me, the generation forges on
Fo, dder for corporations
Sew, wing our lives together
LA, such a nice place to get shot

But don't forget the T it
Follows liber in the Constitution
Following the part about pursuit
Of happiness the bi product
Of colonial precious metal
Mine extracts which
Brings us back
To dough

Do do do do do do
Do do do do do do
Do do do do do do

Today I saw a kid
Torture a cat
Too much leisure
Teenage Norman Rockwell
Paints it black!

How, did the chain get started
Mo, re is what everyone wants
Ney, dy is what none of us are
Co, operation died last night
Rup, tured bleeding heart forsight
Me, I'm just a loo

So don't expect the best you won't be disappointed when you take
A bite and watch the worm crawl back inside. listen to the
Fairy tales of million dollar happiness,
Los Angelistic lifestyle drinking
Chardonnay over a lobster salad brunch

Do do do do
Do do do do
Do do do do
Do do do do

The pursuit of million dollar happiness

Happiness was killed we watched it bleed, some say it died from hate
Some say from bleeding heart disease

General Comment:I think this song is about how the dream of being rich corrupted the dream of being free and happy in America.

I kinda feel I'm missing something on this one though.

General Comment:Heavy Petting Zoo is by far NOFX's most somber album. They're almost emulating Bad Religion's approach to punk, for just one album.

Of course, there's always The Decline, which has a similar message.

General Comment:This song is so cool. One of NOFX's cleverest.

A crazy aussie = Rupert Murdoch I assume

General Comment:I love it how this song has hidden stuff in the lyrics. Next to the do-re-mi thing, which is pretty obivous, there's also:

How did the chain get started
    More is what everyone wants
Neydy is what none of us are
    Cooperation died last night
    Ruptured bleeding heart foresight
    Me, I'm just a loo

First words spelling out "How mo-ney co-rupted me".

    Awesome.

General Comment:yeah pretty awesome how they did this song, do-re-mi style too. That man speaks the truth with he says `more is what everyone wants, needy is what none of us are`

its about how everything is money related, and everyone seems to only want one thing in life these days because its jammed down everybodies throats that money makes all of lifes problems go away.
