All of me
Why not take all of me
Can't you see
I'm no good without you

Take these arms
I want to lose them
Take these lips
I'll never use them

Your goodbye
Left me with eyes that cry
How can I go on dear without you

You took the best
So why not take the rest
Why not take all of me

You took the part
That once was my heart
Why not take all of me

General Comment:I think it may be public domain. Which would make it a free song to cover. Both NOFX & Me First & the Gimme Gimmes have Proven that any song can be made punk.

My Opinion:There are some subtle differences with the original lyrics. Most of them seem to be just to make it sound more punk, but there's a significant one. The original says:

    Take my lips
    I want to lose them
    Take my arms
    I'll never use them

    NOFX version says:

    Take these arms
    I want to lose them
    Take these lips
    I'll never use them

General Comment:i have the album (45 or 46....) and I don't see Sinatra's name on the liner notes anywhere. At least not on the page with this songs lyrics. all i see is the following message that was already mentioned.

"This is another fuckin cover song. I don't know who wrote it originally but i do know Billie Holiday & Louis Armstrong (Great grand-father of Tim & Billy Joe) recorded it way back b4 they even had recordings. You should try & listen to their versions cuz they're a hell of a lot better than ours."

underneath the song title is the names listed in the post directly above this one. "

where is this frank sinatra statement in the liner notes?

General Comment:Actually it's by Seymour Simons and Gerald Marks. The Frank Sinatra version was also a cover.

General Comment:Fat Mike does know who wrote this song, it is Frank Sinatra indeed whoever said that. I first heard the song by Frank Sinatra and love the cover, it's very cool. If you buy "45 or 46 that weren't good enough to go on the other albums" by Nofx, the liner notes have a summary of all of the songs, and it points out that it's awesome to cover a Frank Sinatra song that nobody knows because you get credit for it ;-).

General Comment:Well, this is a cover. Nofx did not write this song, they covered it. However I think it was one of the best covers they ever did. I love this song. The bass line is really cool and the drumming and guitar parts are dead just like every other Nofx song. Anyway these lyrics are so simplistic, yet I think the simple lyrics about a girl leaving you is so true. I think almost everybody out there knows exactly what it feels like to have a girl they really really like leave them. (I am not talking about that girl you just like, I am talking about that girl you REALLY like!) And that is what this song is talking about!
