    Song Meaning:thank god 1 person out of 40 actually knew the correct meaning behind it. any tru dashboard fan knows that chris' lyrics r rarely a direct interpretation. this song has nothing to do wit drinking. thanks lostboyfound for giving me hope for dc fans.

    General Comment:i am like 4 years late giving an answer to everyone's q but i believe that the whole cd is about his cousin and his self destuction leading to his accident that is why the songs are too hard for him to sing at any ones request. he has admited that "For Justin" is about his cousin and if u follow the album it is liner and if you notice there are 2 perspectives. "Drowning" = friend with problem, wants to be left alone; trying to help with bad advice, no longer wanting to help. 'Anyone, Anyone" = friend unsure, asking for help; distance / not communicating; "For Justin" friend dies in accident; reflection.

    i have never asked chris about it but this is what i think.

    General Comment:it's chris looking at a friend and seeing how he/she drinks to solve his/her problems, just kind of looking at the situation. I love old dashboard stuff, this is when I fell in love with dashboard, now I hate his crappy shallow songs about girls and relationships, and girls... he said in an interview that he sat down and wrote these songs in about 5 minutes on the drowning ep and then went and recorded them, now he probobly has to go through all kinds of crap to write one crappy ass song about some girl who he dated

    General Comment:What I personally get from this song is that drinking away your problems, this particular problem dealing with a girl, is not going to solve anything. Still, sometimes it's the only way to ease the pain...I definately can relate.
