RELOAD (1997)
(Hetfield, Ulrich, Hammett)
Don't go looking for snakes you might find them
Don't send your eyes to the sun you might blind them
Haven't I seen you here before?
Oh, watch the puppets dancing
Yeah, see the clowns fall down
Hey, tie your tap shoes tightly
Yeah, wear them into town
See you crawling
See you crawling
Don't go looking fr snakes you might find them
Don't send your eyes to the sun you might blind them
Haven't I seen you here before?
There ain't no heroes here
No, no, no
Hey, hey, hey
Oh, play the game so nicely
Oh, check, it's your move now
Yeah, we're standing in this jungle
Yeah, with some things I have found
See you crawling
See you crawling
Don't go looking for snakes you might find them
Don't send your eyes to the sun you might blind them
Haven't I seen you here before?
Your heroes disappeared
See you crawling
See you crawling
So don't go looking for snakes you might find them
Don't send your eyes to the sun you might blind them
Haven't I seen you here before?
No, there ain't no heroes here
No, no
Haven't I seen you here before?
No, there ain't no heroes here
Don't go looking for snakes you might find them
Yeah, haven't I seen you here before?
Your heroes disappeared
Don't send your eyes to the sun you might blind them

that's what i call constructive criticism ;-)
I agree that the most stupid thing is when a such a good band as metallica sells out so catistrophicly see them selling dvds of there just general life makes me sick.
however i do like metallica for there music, even load and reload. like the rest of the world, st anger=meh,
Now that i got that out of the way, i see this song being (like many metal songs) about war, "see you crawling" and :there aint no heroes here" fit into that genre so nicly...
and the whole verse
Oh, play the game so nicely
Oh, check, it's your move now
Yeah, we're standing in this jungle
Yeah, with some things I have found
"the game" is chess which is a war game in itself and is often used as a metaphor for war. when i hear "jungle" i think vietnam, infact the whole snake theme fits in there quite well, america went there looking for a war and they sure as hell got one. well thats sterotyping americans i apologise, it works vice versa, look at wat happened wen any country attacks another country, generaly, they fight back.
the puppets with the tap shoes are soldiers, doing a final march through town or watever before heading overseas.
Havent i seen you here before.. obvious, war, it just keeps happening
ironic that rockster/punkster posted that comment on a song about looking for trouble, well, they've found it.
