he is trying to take the quick route to find out the truth he is trying to commit suicide to get to find out what is the truth "he must seek no matter how it hurts" he must seek out the answer no matter how much it is going to hurt killing himself or if it is true and he might go to hell for not believing or cause he commited suicide he just feels the need to find out the truth which one was the real cure and which ones were the poisons? "yeah hes been fooled again" he has possibly been fooled to kill himself to find out maybe someone has pushed him over the edge to try it

The song is about drink and alcohol abuse .. plain and simple ..

Load did grow on me, and i now appreciate the cool riffs. but st anger is really not asgood as anything else they'vedone.

i always thought the 'cure' was alcohol..which few people actually need, yetsomanypeople depend on it now. just a thought.

These lyrics are so horribly inaccurate..

it's about people who feel sorry for theirselves, when actually they don't have any problems. For example the culture of people who listen to bands like "green day" and believe it is cool to be depressed

it is about how people think drink, drugs and suicide is the answer to all their problems but it does not solve anything.

this song is fucking killer.

Even though this is on Metallica's worst album, I still think it's a pretty good song with a kick ass bass line. St. Anger better be good!
