This song is about a person that is undergoing mental torture, he can't stop anusing his self and others,got under wheels roll. he gets what he gives from what he does to other people,Im sowing the seeds I take for granted. This person wants help though, Feed me a cure.

Jason explained that to him the song means that it's about a person who is being put through mental torture.
So the whole point of the song is "Don't abuse unless you can take the abuse, or don't dish out what you can't take".

This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. And I agree that Kookkie is right on, but I also get a sense of healing, and that everything is gonna turn out fine in this song. Maybe it's just me.

This is a GREAT metallica song, and although lots of metallica fans don't like load, I think this is in the top 5 metallica songs ever written. The lyrics definetely have to do with being caught in a problem, that is somewhat of a deadly cycle, like James' drinking problem. A lot of people can relate to this song, which makes it great.

load had great lyrics but not near the quality in performance. the live or other recordings of these songs are some of my favorites. i.e. S&M or the tepid remix of King Nothing (KMFDM), the live versions of Aint My Bitch or 2X4. this is one cd you want to get on mp3 instead.

THis song is kick ass, when I heard it played live during the reload tour I almost crapped my pants, it was a weird extended version where just when yuo thought it was over BAM!!! "Caught under wheels roll " over and over and over > it waas not over done it was just FAN-FUCKINGTASTICAL !!!

One of 'Tallicas best! This is like the first song I learned on my guitar, and i love that opening riff. Jaymz just keeps amazing me with his lyrics, especailly on Load and ReLoad. I don't think those are their best albums, but they are the 'Tallica Boys deepest.

A lot of right on ideas about this song. This was one of Metallica's finest moments, that didnt require a lot of speed, yet had an unbelievable Heaviness that just had Soul-Shaking Awesome written ALL over it!!!! This song really hit me hard and became a part of my life, there's just an untouchable amount of Greatness and Truth in this song!!!!!!

i agree with workerant, it one of metallicas greatest slow songs, i was pretty happy with load, not a classic album but, this is one of its high points though, S&M version is very good

I don't really see where Load and Reload sound alike to eachother. With the exception of "Ain't My Bitch" and some parts of "The Outlaw Torn," I see a big difference between the two.

Anyway, this is one of the best off of "Load." The whole album is good, with the exception of "2 X 4" and the beginning of "Wasted My Hate."

i just have a comment does anyone actually know what it means to bleed someone it means to take a leech stick it on your skin and then it will start sucking your "impure" blood this method was used back in ancient times
this also means your lyrics are wrong in saying i take the leash when it really should be i take the leech

Watch him play this live, he is mimics tightening a tourniquet around his arm - bleeding me is about injecting drugs, being 'Caught under wheels roll' is knowing exactly what your doing, knowing you shouldn't be there - but have no choice.

its amazing though that no one so far has even bothered to mention the possibility that he was talking about cutting himself. Think about the lyrics? When people cut themselves they do it to feel control, and hes saying "i take the leash on bleeding me" meaning that he controls it. I mean hell I might be wrong but seriously the whole song can be interpereted as a depressing sound. "Im bleeding me, oh i cant take it" obviously hes talking about how he cant take everyday problems and how therefore he cuts himself. Just my opinion.

This song kicks ass. It sounds realy good if you have some good bass. Origionaly I though this song was about self improvment through self destruction. You know beating yourself up everyday to be better. But I think thunderbird might have it right. Maby its more literal. It makes sense that way too.
