Cliff was one of the greatest bassists of all time because he had a Unique style. I dont think cliff would want us insulting bassists that inspired him or insulting cliff and promoting other bassists who were inspired by cliff. Lets just give it a rest and say we will all miss him and that 186 was one of the best and worst years of all time.
p.s- Cliff Burton wasnt alive when To Live Is To Die was written. Jason was the one that worked on it, sadly.
His style was inspired by classical music. Cliff is probably honored to know many people were inspired by him. To Live Is To Die was written with recycled and unused Burton riffs.
