Today I changed
Its to late
cause everyone stayed the same
i'm gone so long
break out cause I'm better off on my own
Today I changed
Its to late
cause every own feels the same
I'm different and you're distant
add it up and it makes no difference!
everybody's talking 'bout blowing up the neighborhood
everybody's gonna break it up today
everybody's talking 'bout blowing up the neighborhood
running just to get away
stuck in america
stuck in america
I'm lost in america
stuck in america
today i changed
new town with the same old face
one way to shake this place that I cant escape
everybody's talking 'bout blowing up the neighborhood
everybody's gonna watch it burn today
everybody's talking bout waking up the neighborhood
I'm still trying to escape
(chorus)
today, today
everybody's talking 'bout blowing up the neighborhood
everybody's gonna break it up today
everybody's talking 'bout blowing up the neighborhood
all i ever wanted was to get away
stuck in america
get away, get away, get away, get away
(all that shit that you put me through)
today, I changed.

General Comment:I've been listening to this song since 2004. I'm 21 now and this song still applies to my life. I like how all the music I've "grown up" with still applies more than the deeper shit I think I listen to today.

General Comment:hahah quality stuff. yea i think its about all the mainstream close minded people in the U.S of A. eventuially it just gets os old and boring. Its like no matter what you change about yourself, there will always be obnoxious people who stick to their incorrect views...

General Comment:This song is about San Ramon, CA. Tim Pagnotta had just moved to San Ramon from Colorado and went to California High School (Cal High) where he didn't fit in and after Freshmen year went to a different high school in Dublin, CA.

General Comment:This song is about how much america sucks. Think about it.. we`re soo closed minded that we're not even using the metric system yet! like hello, if you ask any international student if america is stupid, most 9 out of 10, the answer is yes. but we're fun and have good music

General Comment:I am amazed that even this song can be twisted into a "GO AMERICA" pro-bush song that reeks of false patriotism. Depressing really.

General Comment:you have to be retarded to not understand wut hes talking about in this song. like some people misinterpret the lyrics as america sucks and thats not it at all. others think thats its anti-Bush but i say vote Bush.

General Comment:this song is about conformity. so many people in america wanna (i hate this fucking phrase, it makes me sound like im 60)'keep up w/ the joneses'. this means they wanna have everything that society says they should have. basically this song attacks the conformity-ridden land that america has become. you gotta be different, man!
