Had a bad day again
She said I would not understand
She left a note that said I'm sorry, I
I had a bad day again

She spilled her coffee broke a shoelace
Smeared the lipstick on her face
Slammed the door and said I'm sorry, I
I had a bad day again

And she swears there's nothing wrong
I hear her playing that same old song
She puts me up and puts me on
Had a bad day again

She said I would not understand
Left a note and said I'm sorry I
I had a bad day again
No,

And she swears there's nothing wrong
I hear her playing that same old song
She puts me up and puts me on
Oh I had a bad day again

She said I would not understand
She left a note that said I'm sorry, I
I had a bad day again
She left a note that said I'm sorry, I
Had a bad day

Being in a relationship with a woman who is suffering from depression and PTSD, this song hits home. It feels like he's living my life. For me, it's a constant never knowing what kind of day she's going to have. One day, she is in a great mood and we are amazing together. The next, she's back to having a bad day and depressed. And when she has bad days, it's so hard to deal with. She's distant and won't talk. And like the song, she does always swear there's nothing wrong when I ask, even though I always know better. Or she just says she doesn't want to talk about it. And it does feel exactly like she puts me off and puts me on, like the lyrics say, because when she's depressed and down, she brushes me off unintentionally. And when she's happy and having a good day, we are fantastic. She's constantly changing and I never know what to expect. I think the singer is experiencing the same ups and downs as I am and is in therapy to know how to deal with it. But he's struggling.

Great song. My girlfriend actually is the one who pointed it out to me and asked if this was how I felt being with her. It nails it on the head.
