    General Comment:I think this song is pretty self explanatory, it's about being haunted by somebody when they're not in your life any more. After anybody leaves, a partner, a friend or a family member, the world is a dangerous place because everywhere you turn there's something to remind you of that person.

    "You'll find me knocking, on your front door... But I don't have nothing, to sell no more..."

    Turning up at their house, or phoning them just because you have to see them or hear them, but you know there's nothing but pain to come of it.

    ...I personally didn't think I could ache any more, until I heard this song.

    General Comment:I disagree with jwasil. It's definitely the song to listen to when you don't want to be told that it'll all be ok and you just want to be allowed to grieve. It gives some solace to those who aren't quite ready to just get on with things. Well that's how it seems to me anyways, it may just be me that found it comforting. It seems to sort of say that it's ok to feel heartbroken sometimes. I don't know, I have been known to be wrong before. But yes there is no doubt that this is a beautifully heartfelt song, as I've come to expect from most Van Morrison tracks.

    General Comment:This is definitely NOT the song that you want to listen to after breaking up. Otherwise, a beautiful song. You can really hear the emotion in Van's voice.

    General Comment:By far the most heartfelt song by Van Morrison. I just love it so much. It is about a guy (Morrison) who isn't with his lover any longer. For whatever the reason he is trying to deal with the fact that she is not with him anymore. He wants to go to the "well" of her love, but the well is no longer there.
    He has no idea why she left him but the pain is so great he just wants it to "recede in the darkness from whence it has come."

    The line he keeps repeating, "Everything I do reminds me of you," could not be anymore true when someone breaks up with you and you are still in love with that person. No matter what you do you could find something that will remind you of that person you are still in love with.
