If you wouldn't mind, I would like it blew
If you wouldn't mind, I would like to lose
If you wouldn't care, I would like to leave
If you wouldn't mind, I would like to breath

Is there another reason for your stain
Could you believe who we knew stress or strain
Here is another word that rhymes with shame

You could do anything

General Comment:my guess is it is about being smothered and shamed most likely by parents. i'll go too far here and say the word blew actually is mispeeled blue not the past tense for blow. reason being it starts from a little kids perspective for wanting to pick out his/her own clothes for example(i would like it blue). would like to lose is later in life when a parent gets the little league coach syndrome(we all know how he hated the jock scene). then he gets older yet and would like to leave and as an adult he is still smothered and finally says he would like to breathe(get off my back already!!). is there another reason for your stain refers to him as his parents stain because he never felt good enough in their eyes and it feels like the only reason he was there was to be shamed to make themselves feel better. it goes on to say all he felt was stress strain and shame. i realize i probably went too deep but given what i know about kurt this makes some sense to me.

My Interpretation:I think this song has a deep meaning in the sense of wanting to give up and not finding your place in life. And for that you have nothing left to do except express how it feels- to blew. whether its singing playing guitar writing lyrics or whatever. It could even mean ending ones life. Is there another reason for your stain? Is there something out there controlling your fate. WHY DO I HAVE SUCH BAD LUCK. Here is another word that rhymes with shame. I think of fame. But i cant help but hear Even in another world that rhymes with shame. PAIN. Continuing on the same path will only lead to Something. Its not easy if your a stain. High school dropout.. homeless..what you gona do. You cant help it but you could do anything.ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. idk Kurt didnt make songs about just one thing. Its however your life interprets it. This is mine.

    General Comment:The way I see this song, is being about someone who isnt living up to everyones expectations of them. Kurt was a fairly smart kid, but I think the general consensus was that he didnt apply himself to a lot of classes even though he was capable. This is what I think the lines mean;
'If you wouldnt mind, I would like it blew' Maybe people were saying he 'blew it' and his retaliation is saying thats how he wants it to be.
'If you wouldnt mind, I would like to lose' He doesnt want to try to be better, or to win.
Both 'would like to leave' and 'would like to breathe' could be about feeling pressured and smothered and just wanting to relax.
This one might not make sense, but
'Is there another reason for your stain?'Could be about parents putting pressure on you because they feel like they failed or for another reason other than wanting you to do well.
'Here is another word that rhymes with shame' is probably meaning, whoever is putting the pressure on you feeling disappointed and ashamed of you. I dont agree with people who are saying that its supposed to mean shame rhymes with fame, while it makes sense, this was on bleach, so most likely written in 91 or before, I dont think Kurt really had the pressure of being famous then.
'You could do anything' is kind of obvious, you have so much potential and you could do anything.
This is just how it applies to my life, it could be completely wrong, but I dont know what kurt was thinking when he wrote it. It makes sense for me though :)

General Comment:How much bullshit im reading here. This is a song about the classical punk theme. As Nirvana was a punk band, according to Cobain, they used to writte songs about it. If you would mind, I would like to leave. Here goes another word that sounds like shame... So easy to interpretate it. IT MEANS, GET A LIFE OUTSIDE THE CORPORATE MAJOR WORLD. Fool of you guys. Know nothing about Nirvana

Song Meaning:Something that might help finding this song's meaning is Kurt saying ''ByeBye, Goodnight, Seeyah'' at the start of the live version. (youtube.com/…). Also, personally I think it's about some kind of smoking.

Song Meaning:I think the song is sarcastically about a blow job, but metaphorically about the trials a relationship faces. He seems to go back and forth between being sarcastic and not; from talking about a blow job, then talking about another problem. "And if you wouldn't mind, I would like it blew." Then, "And if you wouldn't care, I would like to leave." And later, "Is there another reason for your stain?" Then, "Could you believe who we knew was stress and strain." And "came" rhymes with shame, so... that could be it. "You could do anything." could be the conflict of a physical relationship with someone you don't neccessarily want to be with. Like, to give a blunt example, "She's a stupid bitch, but at least she puts out." So you'd give her some kind of positive reinforcement in the heat of the moment (after that word that rhymes with shame).

General Comment:This song in my opinion is completely about sex.

If you wouldn't mind I would like to blew - he wants his cock blown

If you wouldn't mind I would like to loose - no teeth

If you wouldn't care I would like to leave - after he cums he wants to leave

If you wouldn't mind I would like to breathe - not quite sure
