I know how to hurt
I know how to kill
I know what to show
And what to conceal
I know when to talk
And I know when to touch
No one ever died from wanting too much

[Chorus]
The world is not enough
But it is such a perfect place to start, my love
And if you're strong enough
Together we can take the world apart, my love

People like us
Know how to survive
There's no point in living
If you can't feel the life
We know when to kiss
And we know when to kill
If we can't have it all
Then nobody will

[Chorus]

I, I feel sick
I, I feel scared
I, I feel ready
And heaven prepare

[Chorus]

The world is not enough
The world is not enough

General Comment:And yeah, I know it's from the James Bond movie and all that. I just like thinking about the vampire story while listening to this song. It's more romantic, LOL! I know, I'm pathetic.

By the way, speaking of vampires, Twilight sucks! I haven't read the books or seen the movies, but ANY vampire saga in which the vampires fucking SPARKLE in the sunlight is totally lame! Vampires aren't supposed to be cute and glittery in the sun! They're supposed to burn up like marshmallows! That's the whole drama of it!

I'm so thankful for True Blood. Amidst this Twilight crap, True Blood has saved the vampire culture.

General Comment:I don't know why, and I'm sure this isn't what she is referring to in the song, but this song makes me think of a female vampire who has just made a male fledgeling vampire and wants to be with him and they can have everything together. It's romantic in a sadistic way.

General Comment:This talks about extremely passionate and destructive love/sex, the kind we get to see in the movie between Electra and James.

    Very good song.

General Comment:Youmakemenevous>Yeah it is... I think it's about how to 'play the game' and then falling inlove... and you know the saying 'I'd give you the world' basically she's saying that it's not enough for her to just give him the world. In a way I get the feeling they are like evil geniuses in love ^^- It's awsome

General Comment:Maybe it's me, but I think the first lines are:

    I know how to hurt
    I know how to HEAL

    Anyone else hear it?

General Comment:i think its about James Bond himself. i havent seen this movie so far but i felt its about 007 finding a woman who is in the same field he is in.

    "I know how to hurt/kill
    I know what to show/conceal"

thats 007 in action. it means he is good at what he does.

    "I know when to talk
And I know when to touch"

shows how good a lover he is..

    "The world is not enough
But it is such a perfect place to start, my love
    And if you're strong enough
Together we can take the world apart, my love"

the world is not enough to show u how much i love u. its not perfect (and 007 has been trying to fix it since the 70s) but its the best place we can nourish our love. and the part about taking the worlds apart, i think, is about his and her world. i think they will abandon this life of being spys and have a normal life and have kids. Just like those movies where a mafioso retires from his work and leads a normal unexciting life.

    "People like us
    Know how to survive
    There's no point in living
If you can't feel the life
    We know when to kiss
And we know when to kill
If we can't have it all
    Then nobody will"

again talking about thier professional life and thier love life. And if they cant be together, they will never have a relation with someone else.

    "I - I feel sick
    I - I feel scared
    I - I feel ready
    I - And yet unprepared"

this can be the feelings of 007 when he goes to a mission of when he falls in love.

Anyway, i love it and i might be wrong but this is always how i saw it. It can also be seen from the guy's or the woman's point of view....

General Comment:I thought it was 'no one ever died from wanting too much' which, i think makes the most sense. It's about a woman who wants everything, and believes that a certain man can help her. Definitely the best of all the 007 songs, and the first song that made me realise just how good her voice is.
I think the line 'the world is not enough, but it is such a perfect place to start' is particularly funny. Can't you just imagine a psychotic woman who wants everything saying that?
