The void
Sinks into my heart
The void
Anchors to my arms
The voice
Echoes through the stars
The voice
Cries out through the scars
"Save me!
From myself
I can't let this out of me
Gabriel!
Lay your eyes on me
Lay me down
To the hallowed ground
So I could find
The island sky"
The Void
Sealed in this fallen heart
The Void
Where death did us part
Devoid
Salvation for the scars
Avoid
Love for a grieving heart
"Save me!
From myself
I can't let this out of me
Gabriel!
Lay your eyes on me
Lay me down
To the hallowed ground
So I can find
The island sky
The island sky"
Sinks into my heart
The void
Anchors to my arms
The voice
Echoes through the stars
The voice
Cries out through the scars
"Save me!
From myself
I can't let this out of me
Gabriel!
Lay your eyes on me
Lay me down
To the hallowed ground
So I could find
The island sky"
The Void
Sealed in this fallen heart
The Void
Where death did us part
Devoid
Salvation for the scars
Avoid
Love for a grieving heart
"Save me!
From myself
I can't let this out of me
Gabriel!
Lay your eyes on me
Lay me down
To the hallowed ground
So I can find
The island sky
The island sky"

I wanna start the analysis of the song with \'Gabriel\' which is mentioned in the chorus. St. Gabriel is one of seven archangels who enter and serve before the Glory of the Lord, and one of the three archangels mentioned in Sacred Scripture: Michael (Revelation 12:7-9), Raphael (Tobit 12:15), and Gabriel (Luke 1:27-28). Guitarist, lyricist for the band \'Juha Raivio\' wrote this song in about his beloved wife \'Aleah Starbridge\' who passed away after a brave fight with cancer on 4/18/16 she was 39 yrs old. She was everything to him & this song is about his continued grief from losing her, the emptiness it has left, he\'s calling out for a savior in \'Gabriel\', reaching out for some sort of salvation.
