In the night they call my name
The moon is my light to a greater side of hell
But I am already there
Collecting my childhood nightmares
She's gone and I want to disappear, disappear

Take me away into the trees
I dread the sun to rise
Bury me so the night will never end

They say don't walk to the darker side
But where the light shines, the devil is alive
I've seen hell through a child's eyes
And I know in time, the devil I will find
The devil I will find

In time, I will escape
But in this place my soul remains encased
The leaves have swallowed the sun
My heart has reached absolute zero
I have no one left
Even my shadow has died on me
She's gone and I want to disappear, disappear

Take me away into the trees
I dread the sun to rise
Bury me so the night will never end

Tear him from his mother's hands
Turn this young boy to a man
Don't you cry for him now
Tear him from his mother's hands
Turn this young boy to a man
Now his destiny's found

Don't walk to the darker side
But where the light shines, the devil is alive
I've seen hell through a child's eyes
And I know in time, the devil I will find
The devil I will find
The devil is alive
The devil is alive
The devil is alive
The devil is alive
The devil is alive
The devil is alive

    My Interpretation

This is a dark song, more than likely referencing the vocalist’s (Phil Bozeman) struggle as a child. It is a powerful and chilling song where he talks about how his childhood formed him as an adult. He talks about how his childhood was a nightmare & eventually if he continues the path he has started he will find the devil. There are references about his mother dying and other hardships throughout his life.
