Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh yeah, oh yeah, oh yeah

I feel the blood rushin' throughout ya body
You see the scars painted over my skin (mhm, mhm)
I'm always numb to the topic of loving (mhm, mhm)
I fell in love with the subject of sin, oh

I don't have to remind you, oh, oh (oh)
It's my need to confine you, oh, oh (na-na, na-na, na-na)
I see your face every time I'm with somebody else
Can't you see that I want you? (Put your feelings behind you)
I don't have to remind you, oh, oh (I don't have to remind you)
Oh, whoa-ooh, woah, oh

Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong) (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong) (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Where you belong (where you belong) (ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh)
Where you belong (where you belong, long, long)

I'm in control, when you give me your body, yeah
I feel our souls burnin' up when I'm inside of you and I
And I'ma leave a mark, just to remind you
Where you belong, baby
Give me your all, scream as loud as you want

I don't have to remind you, oh, oh (oh, oh, yeah)
It's my need to confine you (to confine you), oh, oh (tell me now)
I see your face every time I'm with somebody else
Can't you see that I want you? (Put your feelings behind you)
I don't have to remind you, oh (don't have to remind you)
(I don't have to) Oh
I don't

Where you belong
Where you belong
Where you belong
Where you belong
Where you belong (oh)
Where you belong (tell me)
Where you belong
Where you belong (oh)

Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (oh, where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong, tell me baby)
Where you belong (where you belong)
Where you belong (where you belong, long, long)

Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh, yeah
Oh-ooh

Oh-ooh
Oh-ooh, yeah
Oh-ooh

Mhm, mhm

    how are there no comments?

imo about a control freak who likes mind games. yea he cares for her but she gets hurt in the process of his "loving."

    a toxic connection.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
