In the middle of the night,

when the angels scream

I don’t want to live a lie that I believe.

It’s time to do or die.

I will never forget the moment, the moment

I will never forget the moment.

And the story goes…

Oh, that’s how the story goes.

You and I will never die.

It’s a dark embrace.

In the beginning was the light

of a dawning age.

Time to be alive.

I will never forget the moment the moment

I will never forget this night we sing we sing

Oh, that’s the story goes.

We’ll sing we’ll sing.

Fate is coming, that I know.

Time is running, got to go

Fate is coming that I know

Let it go, go.

Hear me now

Under the banner of heaven.

We dream out loud.

Do or die and the story goes…

and the story goes…

Oh, and the story goes…

This is the story.

Fate is coming, that I know.

Time is running, got to go

Fate is coming that I know

Let it go, go.

Hear me now

Under the banner of Heaven

We dream out loud

Dream out loud.

Fate is coming that i know, time is running out. (Time to do or die).

Fate is coming that I know, let it go. (Time to do or die).

omg, these lyrics are royally messed up. for example, it's "i don't want to live a LIE that i believe." what this person has put in in stead doesn't even make sense. seriously guys, use some common sense when deciphering lyrics...i will try to get them to put my edits through soon. fingers crossed

anyway, this is one of my favorite songs by them,. so inspirational and hopeful. to me, "i will never forget the moment" means to not forget to live in the moment. and the lyrics "fate is coming, that i know" are some of my favorite. i think this part could have to do with global apocalypse, or just a coming event in someone's life that they will have to be prepared for.

anyway, i love this song and i hope they fix the lyrics soon.

Like a lot of the other comments are saying, I think this mainly about voyeurism. If the song was about his girlfriend, then why would he use the word spy. If you are a spy it means you shouldn't be caught, that is kind of the whole point, and if you are a voyeur, the whole point of the pleasure you get from it, is the fact that the other people don't know you are watching them. See a bit of a connection there?

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.
