We all hurt, we all need, we all cry, we all bleed
Their dreams, their desires, they consume me
The good, the bad, the ugly aren't too much to take
I've been put in this position, but now I can't bear to leave

Stand here with me
Together we'll get through this
Stand here with me, and we'll wash it all away

Without you I'm nothing yes
I've come to understand this
Without you I'm worthless yes
I've come to understand this

I've been handed my life by you
At least I can do is listen
Pull me aside, and step inside
I'll listen to your horror stories
Let this song be your motivation
Let your life be your inspiration
You can't hide your fear in this chorus forever

If I could do more I promise you I would,
But this is your time
If I could do more I promise you I would,
But this is your time now
Whisper your grief
Scream your sorrow
Proclaim your love
Just don't call me your hero

Whisper your grief
Scream your sorrow
Proclaim your love
Just don't call me your hero

Tell me your stories
I'll lend you my ears
Tell me your horror
I'll make it disappear

I'm absorbing the impact of the young at heart
Young at heart
We all hurt
We all need
We all cry, we all bleed.
We have hope

We all hurt
We all need
We all cry, we all bleed.
We have hope

We all hurt
We all need
We all cry, we all bleed.
We have hope

    Song Meaning

Having read that the band has Christian tendencies it could be suggested that this is about God (well God is the "I will listen").

Otherwise could be simply between two friends, and one is there to support them (maybe a parent or loved one also).

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
