It’s in the trees
It’s in the leaves
This time I know
That I’ll stay clean

Anything it gives
Anything it gives, it will take back
This city's here for you

My light burns low
And I know it's running out
They say stay brave
But I know, it will return

I’ve felt death
Rising from me
From my fingers
And out my mouth

If you’re ever lonely
If you are alone stay that way
The city’s here for you

My light burns low
And I know it’s running out
They say stay brave
But I know it will return
On the fourth day
On the fourth day
On the fourth day
On day four

General Comment:Day Four. I could never make it past day four. The first couple of days seemed easy because it was still in your system, day three was always death.. and day four was when I always gave in. And the way you count the days, the months, the years, always counting.

General Comment:I think it's about aswell. He says

    "That I’ll stay clean

    Anything it gives
Anything it gives it will take back"

He says he will stay clean, and drugs might give you a good feeling for a while ("anything it gives"), but it will backfire, and add nothing to your life or even make things worse ("anything it gives it will take back").

I don't have a clue about what the rest means, I wonder what he means with day four...

Great song btw, best song on the album IMO.

Song Meaning:I think this one is clearly about rehabilitation.

My guess on why it is called "day four" and why this is mentioned at the end of the song: I often read that when you are trying to wean off a drug addiction or alcohol addiction, the first three days are the worst.

General Comment:I definitely see the recovery and rehabilitation themes, as well as some imagery on death and resurrection. Maybe the whole Day Four title comes from the Jesus being resurrected in 3 days notion?

General Comment:It's ''my life, my trouble'', not ''my lie...''.
    Great song by the way.
