Get a little closer, let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The rungs of me be under, under you
I'll cut the soft pockets, let bleed
Over the rocky cliffs that you leave
To peer over and not forget what feet are
splitting threads of thunder over me
That I might see with my chest and sink
into the edges round you
Into the lakes and quarries that brink
on all the edges round you, round you
Get a little closer, let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The lungs of me be under, under you
Get a little closer let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The rungs of me be under, under you
I'll put the South pockets gladly
Over the rocky cliffs that you leap
To peer over and not forget what feet are
Splitting threads of thunder over me
Listen closely, closely to the floor
Emitting all its graces through the pores
You make a fine shrine in me
You build a fine shrine in me
That I might see with my chest and sink
Into the edges round you
Into the lakes and quarries that brink
On all the edges round you, round you
Get a little closer, let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The lungs of me be crowns over you
Get a little closer, let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The rungs of me be under, under you
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The rungs of me be under, under you
I'll cut the soft pockets, let bleed
Over the rocky cliffs that you leave
To peer over and not forget what feet are
splitting threads of thunder over me
That I might see with my chest and sink
into the edges round you
Into the lakes and quarries that brink
on all the edges round you, round you
Get a little closer, let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The lungs of me be under, under you
Get a little closer let fold
Cut open my sternum, and pull
My little ribs around you
The rungs of me be under, under you
I'll put the South pockets gladly
Over the rocky cliffs that you leap
To peer over and not forget what feet are
Splitting threads of thunder over me
Listen closely, closely to the floor
Emitting all its graces through the pores
You make a fine shrine in me
You build a fine shrine in me

-- Love and letting someone into your heart --
get a little closer, let fold
cut open my sternum, and pull
my little ribs around you
the lungs of me be crowns over you
-- Pain, because their presence is temporary and knowing they will leave --
I'll put the South pockets gladly
Over the rocky cliffs that you leap
To peer over and not forget what feet are
Splitting threads of thunder over me
-- But still giving the lover a permanent place in their heart --
You make a fine shrine in me
You build a fine shrine in me
It is a beautiful, moving song describing quite vicerally how much of a sacrifice it is to love someone.
"Yeah, 'Belispeak' is more about a forceful relationship, but I think 'Fineshrine' is more like a desirable relationship with someone you love."

Lyrics first
Get a little closer let it fold
Cut open my sternum and pull
My little ribs around you
Through arms that may be crowns over you
Get a little closer let it fold
Cut open my sternum and pull
My little ribs around you
Though arms may be under, under you
This is an invitation to the partner to occupy the abused persons heart.
Physically, a persons heart is within the chest, and there are ribs (read: arms) both above and below the heart.
I’ll take the South pockets gladly
Over the rocky cliffs that you leap
This seems to be suggesting that once the abuser is in the persons heart, they will gladly put up with anything, and follow them anywhere.
To peer over and not forget what feet are
Splitting threads of thunder over me
But I might see with my chest and sink
Into the edges round you
Into the lakes and quarries that brink
On all the edges round you, round you
But I must see with my chest and sink
This is saying that the abused will observe the abuser and remain composed and clear headed (not forget what feet are) but the abused may instead look with her chest (read heart - cross reference sternum) and fall (into the quarries - may be difficult to escape) back in love with the abuser. And towards the end, she feels she must.
You’d make a fine shrine in me
You’ll build a fine shrine in me
This makes sense only with reference to the film clip.
Film Clip second
opening scenes of a plane in the clouds, flying has always depicted freedom and this appears to be what the woman is dreaming of.
While still asleep, the scene then moves on to a Greek pool with pillars, could be roman but there are some serious similarities between the statue and a lot of greek marble and bronze statues. The Greeks were famous for depicting gods and human perfection (Venus) as well as romantic tragedies.
The statue in her dreams is the perception she has of her abusive partner, when she’s in love with him.
The greed connection is further re-enforced by the little horse statue with a missing front limb, the connection being that many Greek statues have missing limbs. and the horse also appear to be made out of bronze.
The man in bed has a skeletal hand tattoo - death/hand - he also appears incapacitated in bed, again, part of her fantasy, as, at the end, we are shown that the entire film is her fantasy
toilet scene - she’s touching a bruise (abuse) and he’s cutting bandages with a pair of scissors (sneak peak into reality)
his disappearance and black appearance is her beginning to perceive him as the greek statue and fall back in love again, at the same time, the plane fly’s off in the window
then she’s back at the baths, the Greek statue surrounded by pillars (she’s in love again)
look too close and you’ll see a flaw - she peers into the statue and there she is wrapped in bandages, the plane, flying above, unattainable freedom.
Happy ending, the dripping silver stuff is the illusion of his perfection slowly slipping away until she see's through the statue / illusion that her love has created / and realizes that he's no good.

splitting threads of lightning over me
that I might see with my chest and sink
