The cycle repeated
As explosions broke in the sky
All that I needed
Was the one thing I couldn't find
And you were there at the turn
Waiting to let me know

We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

The colors conflicted
As the flames, climbed into the clouds
I wanted to fix this
But couldn't stop from tearing it down
And you were there at the turn
Caught in the burning glow
And I was there at the turn
Waiting to let you know

We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

You told me yes
You held me high
And I believed when you told that lie
I played soldier, you played king
And struck me down, when I kissed that ring
You lost that right, to hold that crown
I built you up, but you let me down
So when you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn

And you were there at the turn
Waiting to let me know

We're building it up
To break it back down
We're building it up
To burn it down
We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

When you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn

We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

When you fall, I'll take my turn
And fan the flames
As your blazes burn

We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

My Interpretation:im probably gonna get flack for this but from the timing of this songs release to reading the lyrics it has political meaning just like the album they brought out during bushes reign this song is directed at Obama, A cycle repeated has meaning in the sense that Obama preached change but ended up being the same as Bush we ended up repeating the same cycle we wanted out of.
    "You told me yes
    You held me high
And I believed when you told that lie
I played soldier, you played king
And struck me down, when I kissed that ring
You lost that right, to hold that crown
I built you up, but you let me down
So when you fall, I'll take my turn
    And fan the flames
As your blazes burn" this has meaning for Obama probably more so then any part of the song in 2008 Obama coined the phrase YES WE CAN, hence the lyrics you told me yes, he held americans high with hope that change would come they believed him he Lied thats why the lyrics I believed when you told that Lie. "I played soldier you played king you struck me down when i kissed that ring" as i am a US Marines Veteran served under Obama first term, its no hidden secret that Obama has screwed the US Military on multiple occasions throwing us under the bus on more then one occasions no one in his administration will admit it but he is the reason for 17 dead Navy Seals along with 1 ambassador and 3 more navy seals in Benghazi. Since i did not vote for him i wont add myself to his supporters but they built up his image made him larger then life which lead to him getting away with a lot of things that he tried to sweep under the rug which are coming back to bite him in the rear which leads into the last part "so when you fall, ill take my turn and fan the flames your blazes burn. The Lyrics were building it up, to break it back down has meaning in the sense that towards the tail end of bushes term and right into the 4 years of obama we tried to fix this nation only to have obama basically reverse any progress we made. He wanted to fix this nation but couldn't help but tear what we built down its all in the Lyrics Linkin Park always has messages in there songs usually about what they are feeling at the time they start the songs

Song Meaning:Actually, I'm good with Linkin Park song Meanings. Like most of their songs, this is about getting over a situation,
First Verse: All that I needed, was the one thing I couldn't find
Second Verse: I wanted to fix this, but couldn't stop from tearing it down.

This is saying that your looking for something, then you mess it up, so what messes you up, you burn to the ground

My Interpretation:This has a very personal meaning for me, might work for someone else - I relate to Kaspar7169, also to lyricalONE - people are fickle, we are the ones who put politicians, lovers, celebrities on pedestals...in every case when the betrayal comes the anger is real...trouble is it goes both ways, it's so stupid for us to just blame the other person when it's each of us who acts in a way that is destined to burn what we built.

On Sept 11 2001 a relationship I was in was falling apart and we broke up a week or 2 later and never had contact again. Incidentally she named Linkin Park as a favorite of hers, and I'd never heard of the band before. I was crazy about her - it's true we weren't compatible - I was more outward focused, she inward

She partly agreed with me we'd all brought 9/11 on ourselves - years earlier I'd argued with some of her friends on the net that something like 9/11 was gonna happen, what with the lame strategy we had (still have) for dealing with the Moslem world (Buy any gasoline lately? Thought so, me too. Stuff burns ya know.) No, I didn't remind her - she went to give blood on 9/12 - there was no blood shortage - I wallowed in a sense of futility...But we didn't break up over politics.

It was really more about hero worship - We started going out after she'd been hobnobbing with a couple of famous authors, one of whom had written a novel about manufactured celebrity vs fame that comes from the street. While she'd lost her taste for the fashionable world of letters, I'd never believed much in authentic celebrity in the first place...to me it's all manufactured in high volumes...her, I don't think she got the whole smells-like-teen-spirit thing until after she smelled it on herself. And by the time I finally caught up with her she'd found herself a guru and carried water for him, still does I imagine...

I really did put it all on the line and she had never really invested in the relationship. She felt I was out of harmony with the universe and for all I know she too felt a kind of betrayal that I wouldn't go her way - to understand is to forgive - but the anger is real from my side, of all the people who had the capability to understand, to kick over the pedstal and struggle against repeating history - for me it's like she throws it all away on someone else's ego - I followed down the spiritual Moose Lodge way of life for a while on my own after without her - it's an ancient tradition and I suppose that sort of thing is still beautiful to her.

I since moved on but buried in the song's message reminded me of our own role in our suffering and of an old hurt after I put too much of the wrong kind of faith in a basically good person who had no relationship potential. I guess I have done that more than once - but out of hope dammit, not trying to be futile - "can't wait to burn it to the ground" in the sense that I act /as if/ I intentionally got in a partnership that wasn't made to last - not that I truly intended to burn it down. Or so it seems to me. Thanks for listening.

My Opinion:Why do the sheeple always think most songs are about relationships? LOL... wake up. This had NOTHING to do with relationship BS... is it too common of an answer because the answer evades most people? I'm happy that more people are waking up from this dream and realizing the truth...

This song is about setting the elite's agenda in motion, that includes massive causalities at whatever the cost, nukes, bombs, wars, destruction of the Constitution, to enslave the nation. It's all in the music video, they put the clues out blatantly in front of our faces, yet the majority of us are too stupid to think for ourselves and realize there is many occult meanings and subliminal messages everywhere, not only in music obviously.

Song Meaning:my OPINION on some of these lyrics:

The cycle repeated *this has happened before and continues to happen*
As explosions broke in the sky *sounds of thunder, perhaps from war, i.e. Civil wars cannons, guns, rockets, etc.*
All that I needed *about next two lines: searching for an end to despair*
Was the one thing I couldn't find
And you were there at the turn *no idea, perhaps finding someone or something to believe in, a cause*
    Waiting to let me know

We're building it up *we are creating our own things (problems, beliefs, etc.)*
To break it back down *destroying it as time moves on and we know its not important or others disagree*
    We're building it up
    To burn it down
    We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

The colors conflicted *could be racial, religious, or political*
As the flames, climbed into the clouds *again a war image*
I wanted to fix this *again, trying to find a means to an end of conflict*
But couldn't stop from tearing it down
And you were there at the turn
Caught in the burning glow *finding a reason/standing ground*
And I was there at the turn
    Waiting to let you know

    We're building it up
    To break it back down
    We're building it up
    To burn it down
    We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

You told me yes *this could be, the one who you find to lead you, is the one you trust*
You held me high *this trusting person makes you feel important*
And I believed when you told that lie *the person tells you good things that you think true*
I played soldier, you played king *you followed the person like a leader*
And struck me down, when I kissed that ring *the lies came to light*
You lost that right, to hold that crown *the leader falls when people rebel*
I built you up, but you let me down
So when you fall, I'll take my turn
    And fan the flames
    As your blazes burn

And you were there at the turn
    Waiting to let me know

    We're building it up
    To break it back down
    We're building it up
    To burn it down
    We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

When you fall, I'll take my turn
    And fan the flames
    As your blazes burn

    We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

When you fall, I'll take my turn
    And fan the flames
    As your blazes burn

    We can't wait
To burn it to the ground

General Comment:I think it's about wanting something you can't have and then "burning it down" when you don't get it. A relationship, idea, whatever. You tell yourself if you can just have that one thing you'll be happy, but it's not the idea or lack of that thing that makes you unhappy, it's you. If you're not happy without it, you won't be happy with it either.

Song Meaning:This song is obviously about the Illuminati eyeball(the big boss above). The lower end people are trying to fix whatever it is, but than ends up breaking it again because he/she tried to help the "eyeball" but was frustrated. He/she could be frustrated because they're trying their best and isn't getting what they want.. could be money, love for what they do or like, they tried their best to make the boss happy, and so the lower end finds a mistake the eyeball made and wants to just crush them because of it.

What I think this song means.. at least what the band was thinking?

My Opinion:I think it's about war, relationships, and government. Think about it, What things are most easily used for personal gain? Being in government gives alot of power that you can use for your gain. Relationships can be, shall we say, complicated for one's own good at total disreguard of the other person. I would explain about war, but I'm too tired right now to think anymore, so imma be listen to that song. But this song is NOT about Religion. They are actually more likely to be Religous than Athiestic, but you never know unless you ask them.
