Taking over this town, they should worry,
But these problems aside I think I taught you well.
That we won't run, and we won't run, and we won't run.
That we won't run, and we won't run, and we won't run.

And in the winter night sky ships are sailing,
Looking down on these bright blue city lights.
And they won't wait, and they won't wait, and they won't wait.
We're here to stay, we're here to stay, we're here to stay.

Howling ghosts they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
A lionheart.

His crown lid up the way as we moved slowly
Pass the wondering eyes of the ones that were left behind.
Though far away, though far away, though far away
We're still the same, we're still the same, we're still the same.

Howling ghost they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're the king and I'm a lionheart.

And as the world comes to an end
I'll be here to hold your hand
Cause you're my king and I'm your lionheart.
A lionheart. x8

Howling ghost they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lionheart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're the king and I'm a lionheart.
A lionheart. x8

Song Meaning:I think this song is about two people obviously, but whom are facing the world in their own ways. They face evil of this world, and although they might be frightening the boy is the king (who has the power) and the girl is the "lionheart" which is the motivation in which the boy will do good. It might also be saying that these two, a couple, will always be together, through whatever "creatures lurk" and ghosts that reappear, until the world's end, they will work together to fight it.

General Comment:"Essentially the band are dreamers who are trying to bring that feeling back to life. The self-described folk-indie band is truly inspired by storytelling and making sure that everyone who listens comes up with their own interpretations to their stories."

In interviews, they mention a lot of making their own versions of fairytales.

I feel like they tell simple stories with their music, but add that dream-like feeling to them. Putting them in a different time, place or setting to make it more interesting and easier for anyone to relate to.

General Comment:you're the king an i'm a lion heart. <3

I don't exactly know what this song is talking about, they're an amazing band with such great talent. I could actually sit and listen to their music only for months straight.
    My impression anyway is this:
There's a relationship and it's being sung by who i perceive to be the 'strong' one of the relationship. She's saying that there are people worrying about the couple and she's being strong and saying "You know what, they should worry, we're going to go out there and we're going to love it". I could possibly see the song being about a gay relationship in the sense that the town isn't very accepting of the couple (gay or any relationship people don't approve too!) and she is saying that they're going to stick it out and not run away from the issues.
The main line, i think she's saying that he's more important than anybody else and that she's brave enough to look after him and stick it out.
    I love it.
