So these are the figurines
Acting out all the scenes before my eyes
I thought I knew them all by name
But they started looking much the same
And it's no surprise

But I don't wanna listen
Too much
How can I give up on all the days I know I've won
There's nothing but rainbows
I believe in the shadows

Now honey
Thought I might be dropping out
But now I am gonna work it out
I am gonna work with me
I am runnin' like it looser
Then I'm rolling like sea rusty ship on a stormy sea

You know that people are saying
Strange things

Talk to the hand 'cause I know you think the face is gone

I don't wanna listen
Too much
I'm not gonna give up on all the days I know I've won
There's nothing but blue sky
There's nothing but blue sky

Nothings gonna stop me now
I am skimming like a skipping stone on a silver lake
I take it when the chips are down
But to play the perfect happy clown
You gotta make a mistake (gotta make mistakes)

People are saying
Strange things
And I don't wanna listen (i don't wanna listen)
Too much yeah

Nothing but blue sky
Blue sky

How can I tell you I know this wont be the last song
I don't wanna listen (i don't wanna listen)
Too much
Not gonna give up on the days I know I've won

That's where I am going
'Cause there is nothing nothing but blue sky
That's where I am going
Nothing but
Rainbows falling down on me uh yeah heyyy

Nothing but blue sky
Can't you see
That's where I am going
Got to believe me
That's where I am going

    My Interpretation

Well, i'll be the first to comment...

I think that the music refers to a dead person who just arived heaven, but refuses to believe that.

The music pass by, where angels dressed all the same

(So these are the figurines acting out all the scenes before my eyes)

    tries to communicate with him

(People are saying Strange things And I don't'wanna listen Too much yeah)

But he dont wanna hear because dont wanna believe that he is dead.

He reminds the passed days where was sucessfull and dont wanna to lose them too

(I'm not gonna give up on all the days I know I've won)

There's nothing but rainbows There's nothing but blue sky

Refers to the place heavens itself.

Hi tries to fool himself, but in the end realizes and accept it.

How can I tell you I Know this wont Be the last Song i don't wanna listen /(I don't wanna listen) too much Not gonna give up on the days I know I've won

Nothing but blue sky Can't you see That's where I am going Got to believe me That's where I am going

    Song Meaning

I’m in the unfortunate position where I need to start planning my funeral details. I intend to have this as my leave the world song, through cremation. Sorry to put such a downer on this tune but I feel it’s fitting throughout as I’ve continued to fight a brain tumour yet I have got myself in good places at times, not giving up and I’ve generally had my head in the sand and people constantly tell you to stay positive etc but I just carry on smiling anyway. I am that clown who doesn’t want to listen, I’m not giving up on the happy times I’ve had and on the people and family I’ve had supporting me. So, Blue Skies, that’s where I’m going. I hope I haven’t killed this song for you and I hope I get to listen to it for a long time yet! Take care x

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
