I don't mean to make a scene
But even the mob know what the hell I mean
The knot is tight on my blindfold
I got my flesh full of blood
I hate rock and roll

Some think too much
And come too soon
I just curse the sun
So I can howl at the moon

Don't wanna love you no more
Don't wanna love you less
I wanna be crushed by your sweet caress
What's the fuckin' difference
We all gonna die
You gonna do something kid?
Oh come on give it a try

Got no big plans but a good idea
Let's split this town and run everywhere
Yeah I got enemies
But they don't know
They won't get no glory
On that side of the hole

Well united by drifting alone
This is the army of none
Got no flag, got no home
Just riches and scabs
And awfulness
I confess
Let's do it again, said

General Comment:This song is just pure sex, so dirty, so rock and roll (despite the line 'I hate rock and roll). Yes, he is talking about the 'scene' and all that, but his vocals and the music is just screaming for it to be played in a stripclub. No surprise that it appeared on Season 3 of Californication in a stripclub scene...

    Favourite lines?

'Don't wanna love you no more
    Don't wanna love you less
I wanna be crushed by your sweet caress'

General Comment:For some reason, I feel that
    "What's the fuckin difference
    We all gonna die
    You gonna do something killer
    C'mon give it a try"

could be about drugs. Like, what does it matter that we fuck ourselves up, we're gonna die anyway, wanna do something wild, do a line. But I don't know how much QOTSA sing about drugs anymore.

General Comment:I think the song's supposed to make no sense at all... not everything has to be analysed, it can just be a load of rubbish... at the end of the track, when the music stops, there's a voice (I think it's Josh??) That says "There's only one line I would get". Even they don't know what it means.

The people who don't like what he's about dont bother him too much, he can get away from them easily. Even if they don't him, or his scene, or his music, they arent going to get any glory by not liking it, but while he's playing guitar and singing, he's getting glory, regardless of what the people against it think.

Kind of implies that he enjoys it a bit, he know full well what deal theyre getting.

General Comment:Am I the only one who thinks this song is just blatantly sexual? Glory hole, blindfold, flesh full of blood? I think it's possibly the sexiest song ever recorded and that some of the lyrics are just there for texture and sound, and to add to the general mood.

General Comment:This is my favorite song on the album, right up there with "Burn the Witch". It's the sort of music I can envision playing in a strip club, actually.

General Comment:Actually OpiumForThePeople it isn't "But even I don't know what the hell I mean" seeing as you can clearly make out the posted lyrics. Furthermore it makes perfect sense, I don't understand how it can't make sense to you.
