Once a child born not righteous
Never again will I speak the truth
Forever broken, my halo was bent down in two
My halo bent right before you
Never spoken, the scars that I can't hide
My pain inside, like suicide
My pain never dies
I never told you and it was right before you
If I told you what was on my mind?
Would you mind?
Deep within this dirty hole
They never let me go
They reach to pull my broken hope
To settle their reckless home
Never again will I speak the truth
Forever broken, my halo was bent down in two
My halo bent right before you
Never spoken, the scars that I can't hide
My pain inside, like suicide
My pain never dies
I never told you and it was right before you
If I told you what was on my mind?
Would you mind?
Deep within this dirty hole
They never let me go
They reach to pull my broken hope
To settle their reckless home

As always, my "interpretation" is not intended as a claim to be the One True Meaning... Anyone who claims that is an idiot and a detestable person... The proof I offer for that statement is that for the vast majority of songs, there are a large number of reasonable-sounding interpretations.
When I hear this song, it hits me pretty hard. It reminds me of being a child, or a teenager, and having parents who just don't give a shit about me. Yes, ignore me. Sure, carry on with a terrible marriage and a nonexistent family life. Do I want to commit suicide? Yes, and I have told you as much, but don't let that bother you. I put it right before you, and you did nothing with it. And that hurts more than anything.
Therefore, never again will I speak the truth.
