In no solid state
You know we can't cop to
The frequency of your inner debate
It was all out of tune
You're entering this town
Yourself a weeping clown
You play along to songs written for you
But you're all out of tune
You're all out of tune
See the cars on the 95
Cut through them like a sharpen knife
Oh oh
You're all out of tune
See the cars on the 95
Cut through them like a sharpen knife
Oh oh
You've got the wrong attitude
In no solid state
You know we can't cop to
The frequency of your inner debate
It was all out of tune
You're entering this town
Yourself a weeping clown
You play along to songs written for you
But you're all out of tune
You're all out of tune
You know we can't cop to
The frequency of your inner debate
It was all out of tune
You're entering this town
Yourself a weeping clown
You play along to songs written for you
But you're all out of tune
You're all out of tune
See the cars on the 95
Cut through them like a sharpen knife
Oh oh
You're all out of tune
See the cars on the 95
Cut through them like a sharpen knife
Oh oh
You've got the wrong attitude
In no solid state
You know we can't cop to
The frequency of your inner debate
It was all out of tune
You're entering this town
Yourself a weeping clown
You play along to songs written for you
But you're all out of tune
You're all out of tune

It reminds me of people who try to meld into social circles that they really don't belong to; trying to be people they're not.
The imagery of a 'weeping clown' also suggests this: a weeping clown is someone who has to put on a facade of being happy, but their true selves is deeply unhappy. This form of lying to oneself seems to be a running theme in the song.
