  General Comment:This is Kelly Clarkson's favorite track on Stronger as it came out of a "really crap situation." She explained to SameSame.com.au: "It was just a really bad day, one of the worst ever; don't think I'll have a bad one like that again. I think it's great that being an artist you can take a bad day like that and almost use it as therapy to get it out and I think a lot of people will relate to this song. The whole idea is when people are like 'I love you, but this is what you need to change about yourself and this is what's not good about you,' and it's like 'Wow I think you're highly confused about the definition of love.' The whole song is like, 'your love is like a punch in the face.' It's very Prince, Tina Turner, pop which I love."

  General Comment:I think this song is pretty straightforward and still so powerful.
  
  Her boyfriend broke up with her and basically blamed it on all her. Kelly, however, is smart enough to realize that it isn't her fault at all. He is the one who screwed the relationship up. He is the one who's not good enough.

  Her boyfriend told her she's not good enough, but they both know it's him that's not good enough. He knows he's wrong and can't deliver, so he blames it on her.

  She's saying that he didn't really let her down because he showed her the truth: he's bad news and not good for her. By breaking up with her he broke her heart, but at the same time he made her realize that he is a shitty guy to begin with.

  The boyfriend probably told her he was breaking up for her sake, but she's smart enough to see through it. Every time he said he loved her he was lying, and she now realizes this.
  
  A very powerful song about unrequited love and dating a douchebag in disguise. Most of us have been there.

  every single song she's ever sang from any album is identical to my life.
