Taking over this town, they should worry,
But these problem aside I think I taught you well.
That we won't run, and we won't run, and we won't run.

And in the winter night sky ships are sailing,
Looking down on these bright blue city lights.
And they won't wait, and they won't wait, and they won't wait.
We're here to stay, we're here to stay, we're here to stay.

Howling ghost they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lion-heart.
A lion-heart.

His crown lid up the way as we moved slowly
Pass the wondering eyes of the ones that were left behind.
Though far away, though far away, though far away
We're still the same, we're still the same, we're still the same.

Howling ghost they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lion-heart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lion-heart.
And as the world comes to an end
I'll be here to hold your hand
'Cause you're my king and I'm your lion-heart.
A lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart
A lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart

Howling ghost they reappear
In mountains that are stacked with fear
But you're a king and I'm a lion-heart.
And in the sea that's painted black,
Creatures lurk below the deck
But you're a king and I'm a lion-heart.
A lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart
A lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart, a lion-heart

My Interpretation:Well, I guess, I just think that perhaps she's the one who keeps him, the King, going, The thing, the Lionheart, the bravery that keeps him from cowering away... That which keeps him going and holds him up, her love is what keeps him going, that makes him brave, strong, a King.... She's what he needs to be the King, his heart, his bravery, his strength, his love... she's always behind him whatever he does she's always there to catch his fall, always there to keep him up and keep him strong, always there to save him, help him, love him.... but... just my interpretation guess...

My Opinion:The entire video is about how Nanna can't be with her little brother Hilmar, and almost everything in the video is signifing that they are be taken away from each other and can't be together. Also you probably already know this, but he his her king and Nanna is the lionheart. And lionhearts are people that have an unstoppable amount of persistence to get something and very determined. Nanna tries to do everything she can to get to him, but something seems to get in the way. So in the and of the video when he goes away on the rocket ship he is going away for good, in this case Canada, but Nanna is still trying to find a way to watch him grow up even If she knows that is almost impossible.<-- I just found this information lol

Song Meaning:Was watching a recording of an interview they had and Nanna said that the song is more personal to her because it's about her and her little brother. They live apart. Her little brother is growing up and she's missing out b/c they're apart. That's what it's about in a sense.

General Comment:according to the creators of the music video, the synop of the video is the following (fromWWM): Under a leaden sky, a utopian empire is overthrown by a malefic foreign horde. In the aftermath, a regal bother and sister are separated and desperately struggle to reunite.
SO the song is about two people who love each other like others said but not necessarily lovers.

General Comment:If you watch the video, it shows a little boy and a teenage girl being taken away from each other. The girl see this spirit creature thing, and it helps her escape, same with the boy. As the girl is running, a giant monster breathes in her spirit creature. The boy follows his into a giant stone face thing, which flies up into the air, and the boy starts crying because him and the girl were almost together, but they didn't make it.

My Interpretation:I agree with most in saying that the song is about the love between two people.

The first verse covers how they shouldn't and don't worry about the petty problems others may try insert into their lives, and even though most people tend to run away from their problems(ships are sailing) during the hard times(winter night), they will remain patient with each other.

The chorus talks about the fear and paranoia people tend to feel when in relationships. Trust issues that build up etc. However the king and lionheart are both brave and confident in each other and with what they have together, to keep any fears at bay.

The next verse goes on to talk about the kings confidence and assurance leading the slow and sure development of their relationship forward. The ones left behind staring are normally family and friends who seem skeptical at first, but are really just to scared to commit entirely, so they end up staring in envy.
Nothing can change their relationship, not distance (though far away) or any other obstacle brought forward.

General Comment:Ohh I just want to add that I think it's very cool and beautiful that in their songs they represent relationships as a journey (a metaphore for the journey the heart/soul gets through).

General Comment:"think it's about facing something new and challenging but having someone you love to help you through it. "

I agree, I think it's about the "supportivness" of relationship, and if it's what people say here, then Nanna and Ragnar might be a couple ^^

My Interpretation:This is the story of Lionheart Nanna and her king Ragnar. Far from home, they see the lights of the city as their plane descends and are amazed by the crowds who can’t wait to see them. Although they have doubts (howling ghosts) and fears (mountains), she tells him of her courage and she sees his inward, kingly grace and knows together they will not fail. His kingly grace (crown) lights the way past their own amazed friends at home to lands and fame but she assures him this fame has not changed who they are.
