  My Interpretation:I think it is about a girlfriend and a boyfriend split up by the boyfriend going to war. "Wake Up With Double Vision" maybe he was knocked out while fighting, and just getting up.

  General Comment:I don't think its talking about "love love." I think Tom is talking about Angels & Airwaves L ) V E. "I've had it with this damn double vision." The double vision being Blink 182 and Angels & Airwaves. "My heart's sinking and stuck in deadly rhythm." Both bands are very successful in their music and "rhythm." Well that's my thought but overall this is one my favorite songs from Neighborhoods.

  General Comment:I think it's about a typical relationship, give and take, but they are both so stuck in their ways and their pride is pushing them apart. The love he feels for her keeps him fighting for it relentlessly, but he is wearing from it. She can't accept the way he is, and he wont change. But the love he feels for her is something he needs more than his own life, to the point where it becomes dangerous.
  First verse is like about the fights they always have
  
  I've had it with this damn double vision
  (the double meanings, she says one thing but it's never clear whether it's one or the other)
  My hands swollen, I can't keep holding on
  (he keeps fighting to hold on so much so that he's too hurt to continue, it's a constant struggle that he can't keep going on with. He's sick of giving in to her unclear ways and constantly misunderstanding)
  My heart's sinking, and stuck in deadly rhythm
  (He's inlove, he can't stop loving her, but he almost resents the fact that he loves her because of how it's making him feel)
  I can't fake it
  I can't, can't brush it off
  (He's had enough of trying to keep up a false facade and just going along with what she wants instead of his own needs, and he can't do it anymore)

  Love, love is so dangerous
  (He needs the love he feels for her, but hates what he has to constantly sacrifice to keep it)

  It's all static, just like my television
  (This is all like a typical fight where his pride gets in the way and she keeps demanding or yelling and it's just become monotonous, background noise, OR he's so angry at her that everything she's trying to tell him means nothing because he feels that he's right and she just won't listen)
  Her skills sharpen, her eyes cut through the clouds
  (This is where, no matter how strong his fight is, she manages to break him, he can bring tears in to the fight but she some how always manages to see beyond his tears and defeats him even more)

  (What happens when you become so intoxicated in this 'love' you feel for her that you push everyone else you've ever cared about out of the picture)

  (Trying to reason with why he'll put up with the pain?)
  
  I dunno, this is just my interpretation, but i'm drunk so i probably wont remember trying to understand this song in the morning

  General Comment:This song is about falling in love and having to deal with the consequences when it fails.

  General Comment:Some people will never allow themseleves to be loved. They'll just continue having sex and faking emotions until they're too old to attact anyone. What goes around comes around is the old saying. Toss in some STD's that also go around and it's no wonder they'll never experience love. Good song but an even better band !

  General Comment:He says: my hands swollen, i cant keep holding on. he could just mean that he cant continue doing the stuff he did before. he is exhausted because he fights for a kind of aim, probably a woman. love is so dangerous because it can change a lot. it can make you do things you usually wouldnt do. he isnt himself anymore: he sees the lips moving but doesnt hear anything, he doesnt listen to anything. he slowly realizes that all of his struggle isnt worth anything because she doesnt seem to care about him. this could mean the stuff marks sings in the second refrain.
