This is the end!
And after all that duress,
There's no right or wrong,
No king, no throne to defend.
'Cause we're all that exists.
No blessing God,
No judge alive, (?)
There's no cost or calls from the top. (?)
We're all on our own!
We're on our own!
No church exists in this world that we live
No beacons, no prophet
This is it
We are the only ones left. (?)
No preachers, no nothing,
And I've heard your faith is in Christ (?)
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if we're lost?
And we missed the whole point of it all?
What if I'm wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if our peace, can never be felt on our own?
My soul can't die!
My soul can't die!
We're on our own!
Well if all that remains, is your apparition's wit,
Then an eye for an eye is the only law that can exist.
So don't use your robes to soften defeat,
And trophies of war to boast of your feat,
You've failed and you've failed
Because your body is weak,
And you'll never be as strong as you dream to achieve.
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if we're lost?
And we missed the whole point of it all?
But my soul can't die!
(My soul can't die!)
My soul can't die!
(My soul can't die!)
And after all that duress,
There's no right or wrong,
No king, no throne to defend.
'Cause we're all that exists.
No blessing God,
No judge alive, (?)
There's no cost or calls from the top. (?)
We're all on our own!
We're on our own!
No church exists in this world that we live
No beacons, no prophet
This is it

No preachers, no nothing,
And I've heard your faith is in Christ (?)
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if we're lost?
And we missed the whole point of it all?
What if I'm wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if our peace, can never be felt on our own?
My soul can't die!
My soul can't die!
We're on our own!

But I saw God die
(I saw God die)
I saw God die
(I saw God die)
God never dies, other than when Jesus Christ dies for our sins. That's my main reason for believing that.
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What we're lost,
And we missed the whole point of it all?
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if our peace can never be found on our own?
Also, that's another reason i think it COULD be from then. At first the disciples were confused and didn't understand what it meant or why He was dying on the cross.
There's no right or wrong,
No king, no throne to defend,
Cause we are all that exists,
No blessing God,
No Judge or Law,
There's no cost or calls from the top,
We're all on our own.
We're on our own.
No faith exists in this world that we live
No pagans, no prophets,
This is it, we are the atheist writ
No preachers, no new born believers,
Your faith is in jest.
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What we're lost,
And we missed the whole point of it all?
What if we're wrong?
What if we're not all alone?
What if our peace can never be found on our own?
I saw God die
I saw God die
We're on our own. (We're on our own)
Well, if all that remains is our avaricious wit,
An eye for an eye is the only law that can exist.
So don't use your romance to soften defeat,
Or your trophies of war,
To boast of your feats.
If you've failed, then you've failed,
Cause your body is weak,
And you'll never be as strong as you dream to achieve.
What is we're wrong?
What if we're not alone?
What if we're lost,
And we missed the whole point of it all?
But I saw God die
(I saw God die)
I saw God die
(I saw God die)
The album also follows a former priest who fought in the war on God's side (and his atheist daughter), who becomes a judge in the aftermath, which is where the lines "So don't use your robes to soften defeat,
And trophies of war to boast of your feat," and "Well if all that remains, is our avaricious wit,
Then an eye for an eye is the only law that can exist," come into play.
I think the most important lines of the song are "What if we're wrong? What if we're not all alone? What if we're lost? And we missed the whole point of it all?" because it gives a bit of foreshadowing as to the purpose of God disappearing. I think it is a believer questioning whether God actually died or is simply teaching them something. But he is having sort of an internal argument, which is why after those lines, he says "But I saw God die."
Note: I used the lyrics straight from the band via their lyrics book that came with the album, as the lyrics both her and on the Solid State videos are wrong in some places. (Ex. "avaricious wit," not "apparitions's wit."
That link has the lyrics straight from Solid State records, so I'm sure they're accurate. Also, it's "I saw God die", not "my soul can't die".
Also, "no judge or law"
"no sides exist in this world that we live" "not no church..."
After this is it, it says "We are the Athiest writ, no preachers no new born believers, you're faith is in jest"
Yeah, you should just look at the vid, cause it's a lot. It was a good attempt though (I can't even understand them the singer myself, so you should really pat yourself on the back)
This is it and this is all that there is
There is no right or wrong, no king, no throne to defend
Because we are all that exists
No blessing god, no judge or law
There's no cost or calls from the top because we're all on our own
We're on our own
No sides exist in this world that we live
No pagans, no prophets
This is it, we are the atheist writ
No preachers, no new born believers, your faith is in jest
"But what if we're wrong? What if we're not alone?
What if we're lost and we miss the whole point of it all?
But what if we're wrong? What if we're not alone?
What if our peace can never be found on our own?"
But I saw God die
I saw God die
We're on our own
If all that remains is our avaricious wit, then "an eye for an eye" is the only law that can exist
So don't use your romance to soften deaft or your trophies of war to boast of your feats
If you failed then you failed 'cause your body is weak and you'll never be as strong as you dream to achieve.
I think its
1.
No church exists in this world that we live
No PAGANS, no prophets
2.
No preachers, no nothing,
BELIEVERS YOUR FAITH IS UNJUST(or IN JEST)
3.
Well if all that remains, is your AVARICIOUS wit,
Then an eye for an eye is the only law that can exist.
4.
So don't use your ROMANCE to soften defeat,
And trophies of war to boast of your featS,
5.
IF You've failed, THEN you've failed
Because your body is weak,
