0My Interpretation:I think this song is about waking up from being asleep but sleep was a refuge from the world for whatever reason and the narrator is "trying to get back" to his refuge of sleep.

0My Interpretation:This is my favorite David Cook song. The lyrics are beautiful and convey the feelings of despair we all have at times but also the fact that he is fighting these feelings. I love the imagery in the lyrics. Wonderful song.Flag song12345on February 08, 2012 Link
