Yeah and you have the chorus and next few verses right but when you have the question marks John is saying "I'm betting on the top I'm falling" and I think you should continue it instead of ending it where you did.
It does kinda sound like "we didn't have..." but that doesn't really make sense with the rest of the song.
I also think the last line of the chorus should be "taunt" instead of "told"
Anyway, I think this song is about a love interest who is only using Adam to get drugs.
The line "I only did it 'cause you did it" suggests that Adam wouldn't have normally engaged in such activities, but did so to impress and/or get on better terms with this girl.
The chorus then reflects his discomfort and overall poinion of the situation with the girl
