Underneath our feet
Crystals grow like plants (listen how they grow)
I'm blinded by the lights (listen how they glow)
In the core of the earth (listen how they grow)

Crystalline internal nebula (crystalline)
Rocks growing slow mo (crystalline)
I conquer claustrophobia (crystalline)
And demand the lights

We mimic the openness
Of the ones we love
Dove tail our generosity
Equalize the flow
With our hearts
We chisel quartz
To reach love

Crystalline internal nebula (crystalline)
Rocks growing slow mo (crystalline)
I conquer claustrophobia (crystalline)
And demand the lights

Octagon, polygon
Pipes up an organ
Sonic branches
Murmuring drone
Crystallizing galaxies
Spread out like my fingers

(Crystalline) internal nebula
(Crystalline) rocks growing slow mo
(Crystalline) I conquer claustrophobia
(Crystalline) and demand the lights

(Crystalline) internal nebula
(Crystalline) rocks growing slow mo
(Crystalline) I conquer claustrophobia
(Crystalline) and demand the lights

It's the sparkle you become
When you conquer anxiety
It's the sparkle you become
When you conquer anxiety

Pretty sure it's "and demand the light" instead of "and the man that lights".... and "It's the sparkle you become When you conquer anxiety" instead of "compel"....

Verse 2: We mimic the openness / Of the ones we love / DOVETAIL our generosity

    ...not "Thought till our generosity"

Ok, really? The accurate lyrics are on the app. There shouldn't be this much dispute and inaccuracy.

imbipolar is right. But "dovetail our generosity?" What would that even mean? It's "daft till our generosity," as if to say "We clumsily mimic the openness of the ones we love until our own generosity equalizes the flow of love."

And it's "pipes of an organ," not "pipes up an organ."

Now that that's out of the way, I really love this song. I look forward to hear the remastered version that will come with the album's release this October. The song is just so high-energy, gets me all excited and jittery, and I found the meaning to be profoundly beautiful once it fully dawned on me and blossomed in my mind.

Ok... I've fixed the mistakes, but there's 2 lines that are wrong in the "real lyrics": 1) Rocks growing slow-mo (Not "slow but"). 2) We chisel quartz (Not "we kiss our quartz")

    Song Meaning

Bjork explained the song's meaning to NME: "It's about a connection between two people, that's stagnated, crystallized. You wanna bring out the pick-axe."

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
