You have to stop looking for the chorus
in everything you've lost as if you orchestrate
your failures to give yourself a crutch.

I drive by two streets a day with your last name
and it's a cruel twist of fate
how much we lose ourselves to find someone else.
We live in borrowed cars and sleep in rented homes
that's why we try keep each other
in fear we'll both die alone.

You built yourself a crutch.
A crutch to lean, a crutch to fall;
it's just a poor excuse so I won't stand at all.
I can't stand myself at all.

I used to be afraid of all the things that I couldn't keep.
I used to be afraid of all the things that I couldn't change.

We need each other, come keep me.

    General Comment:This song's about being in love with a girl, and she's making excuses for them not to be together. If I'm correct I believe the title is from a line the movie (500) Days of Summer where Zooey Deschanel finally lets her lover into her world, but ends up breaking his heart in the end just like this song.
