I can be good (If you just wanna be bad)
I can be cool (If you just wanna be mad)

I can be anything , I'll be your everything
Just touch me baby (I don't wanna be sad)

As long as I'm your hooker (Back up and turn around)
As long as I'm your hooker (Put your hands on the ground)
As long as I'm you're hooker (Back up and turn around)
As long as I'm your hooker (Get down)

Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)
Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)

I'm gonna drink my tears tonight
I'm gonna drink my tears and cry
'Cause I know you love me baby
I know you love me baby

I could be girl (Unless you want to be man)
I could be sex (Unless you want to hold hands)

I could be anything, I could be everything
I could be mom (Unless you want to be dad, oh papito)

As long as I'm your hooker (Back up and turn around)
As long as I'm your hooker (Put your hands on the ground)
As long as I'm you're hooker (Back up and turn around)
As long as I'm your hooker (Get down)

Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)
Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)

Put your hands on me
John F. Kennedy
I'll make you squeal baby
As long as you pay me (oh)

I'm gonna drink my tears tonight
I'm gonna drink my tears and cry
'Cause I know you love me baby
I know you love me baby

Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)
Hooker (Yeah, you're my hooker)
Hooker (Government hooker)

I could be girl (Unless you want to be man)
I could be sex (Unless you want to hold hands)

I could be anything, I could be everything
I could be mom (Unless you want to be dad)

I wanna fuck the government hooker (Back up and turn around)
Stop fucking me government hooker (Put your hands on the ground)
I wanna fuck the government hooker (Back up and turn around)
Stop fucking me government hooker (Get down) Yes

General Comment:I think it's a funny coincidence that the ad on this page is of Usher showing of his new cologne. I really think this song is about the conditions that musicians these days submit to for fame. Their job isn't about the music- they are under a lot of direction and control of whoever pays them (I don't really know much about how the music business works. I just remember a few years ago how she was pressured to lose a lot of weight/change herself and all that). And I'm sure musicians/performance artists aren't given full creative license, but are forced to tweak things here and there to get the most public appeal. On top of all that, the musicians become popular subjects of adoration, entertainment, and scrutiny for millions of strangers. Then they almost always use their marginal power to endorse products they don't care about. One would have to feel pretty cheap after all that, selling oneself to strangers.

General Comment:Man, I disagree with all the posters. I think this is an incredibly sad tune. She's lonely and will do anything to be whatever the other person needs. Whatever their wish is her command. She's desperate for attention. Sex is easy, and with it she can get what she wants/needs...companionship. I believe the word 'government' is used because her actions are without feeling; rather generic; and with alterior motive. She also wants to take care of someone/anyone and in return she becomes their property (so to speak). She puts out like the goverment does and she gets something in return...

General Comment:The Song is about How far are you willing to fight for what you think is right. In the song Gaga is trying to seduce a president (JFK) in saying I can do this, I can Be this, But as long as you pay me, and in which she does not want to get paid in money, but she wants to get paid in Rights. "I can Be Girl, Unless you want to be Man," She telling the pres Role Plays they can do, who can take control, him or her. "As Long as I'm your Hooker. (Gov.) Back up and turn around," They are refusing her service. "I'm Gonna drink My tears tonight, I'm gonna drink my tears and Cry, cause I know you love me baby," She trying to show them that with her sadness that she'll doing anything for the rights she believe that should be legalized. It shows that she will stop at nothing to get the rights for her fans.

General Comment:This song is totally about her being an illuminati puppet. They control her. Notice how the guy laughs after she says John F Kennedy? There is a rumor they are behind killing him. Not a coincidence.

My Interpretation:The chorus to this song is one of her best!

"I'm gonna drink my tears tonight,
I'm gonna drink my tears and cry,
'Cause I know you love me baby,
I know you love me baby"

It sounds to me like she's in a lot of denial.
She wants to believe that she is really "loved", however
the reality is that she is just being used and feels like a "hooker."

General Comment:Lady Gaga on her facebook: "GOVERNMENT HOOKER was inspired by Marilyn Monroe + political mistresses. I wonder what they were privy to + what they affected."

General Comment:I think this song has a dual meaning, I've read two different accounts of what it's about and both make sense.

    1) About political mistresses such as Marilyn Monroe (hence JFK reference)
    2) The use of musicians by the music industry, and artist's often willing and quite naive acceptance of what the media asks of them. Because of Fame. For this reason, I think this song, content wise is one of the closest on the album to "The Fame" though probably more "The Fame Monster"

Also should be said, one of the best and catchiest songs on this album, in my opinion.
